    Tyler Murphy high school footage

Showed good pocket awareness even then. The plays we ran on Saturday looked like the plays he ran in h.s. - the coaches did a good job of running an offense with which he was comfortable.

UConn and Sryacuse offered him as an athlete/ DB.

He was also an excellent track athlete and it appears that he might be developing into a very good SEC QB.

Very proud of how Tyler performed Saturday and how composed he was too. Hope he can continue to succeed.

I had no idea he was a quick as he he's shown. I just hope he stays healthy all year long, we can't afford to go down to our third string QB.

Anyone else notice how similar his throwing motion is to Leak's?

Totally surprised by his poise and ay making ability. All we heard was ther was a big drop off in talent after JD. Don't understand how staff could say that?

    My wife is from Wethersfield..

I'm up in Wethersfield every year to visit the in-laws. They are all very excited and proud to see him succeed, as am I. It is proof you don't have to be handed everything, hard work and perseverance pay off, I wish him the very best.

Very much so. He is reminiscent of Chris in many ways, and Chris is on the Staff to coach him up. That's a good thing.

Man it is nice to see he is so illusive in the pocket. Nice ability to roll out and made some nice throws, we don't need the 40-50 yard bombs but looks like he can hit the 15-20 yards with ease. We just need the receivers to continue in their routes if he is flushed out of the pocket. Also nice that he runs 4.4 but let's minimize his "designed runs" and keep him healthy!
