We'll all be happier Saturday night due to no turnovers, but it will still be a nail-biter.
Can we please start negative rep? Lol
We may still find a way to lose.
We'll probably still get a stupid penalty or two, courtesy of GPD.
The 18th bye-week joke is always the funniest.
It's my understanding that Open Date is expecting us to run the ball and not throw more than 20 yards down the field. Also in Vegas the over under on turnovers for us is currently at 3, the line was 2 on Tuesday.
Worse. It is a tie. Kissed our sister. Cant win and cant lose. The sad thing is we have no Gator game to get Miami misery out of our heads.
On the first play from scrimmage tonight against the University of Open, Driskel tries a bootleg and trips on the turf. Looks like another tough night for our offense. We are leading in time of possession, though.
It's 3rd and Long, due to Driskel tripping, Trey Burton fumbling hike, so now what do we do? We dive up the middle with Joyner to protect the ball. Defense comes in, no one is ready on defense, so the opponent throws the bomb for a TD.
Offense comes back in, we punt on 1st down so the defense can come back out and redeem Boom's defense. Only problem, they throw the bomb again and surprise our defense.
TV analysts are now scratching their heads wondering what to say that is nice for our Coach and program but they are tongue tied. We get a long return to their 40 yd line. On 1st down we dive in the middle for 1 yd. 2nd down we try the same play because we need to make sure our dive works a little better. But the defense knowing we are going to run the ball again has 11 men on the line of scrimmage. 1/2 yd loss. 3rd down, our coaches are conferring what to do, so we take a time out. After what seems like 5 min. Driskel is still looking to the sidelines for a play with 5 secs left on the play clock he lines up the team, he rolls to the right right before the play clock ends with 5 wide outs heading out, the defense thinking a trick play keeps 11 men on the line of scrimmage, meets Driskel 7 yds deep in the backfield and drives him past the 50 yd line. Now 4 th and 21, our coaches confer, let's go for it. So we line up with Trey Burton in the backfield, hike it to him and he takes off. Well the opponent sensing another trick play lines up 11 men on the line of scrimmage even the punt returner, end result, a loss of 5 yds.
End result of this game, we fight back and kick 3 fg's, miss a fourth, and lose 14 to 9. Will's post game show, he explains how we are improving and this was a moral victory. One reporter in the very back coughs, then asks why didn't try to score a td instead of a fg when you were on the 1 yd line with a minute and 1/2 of clock left? Will is not happy with this but then explains, look, we felt that if we kick a fg, our defense had enough time to get the ball back and we would get a chance to kick another fg and win. A reporter in the first row bursts out laughing, tries to recover real quick when he senses Will is losing it. Too late, Will leaps down on the reporter and everyone in the room grabs Will when blood is flowing freely from the reporter's face.
On Sunday, ESPN has a headline, Muschamp arrested for assault and battery. No one knows for sure if Will will be out in time for next weeks game. Foley and Athletic dept. go into lockdown with the press and release a press clip that there will be a press conference on Saturday morning of the next game. Stay tuned. LOL
Is it a full moon this weekend? I've lost count of how many dumb threads have been posted in the past few days.
