They are even more crazed because Trump won the election.
This is Trump lying and manipulating the public. Trump was on board with the bi-partisan DACA plan.....he simply flip-flopped on them without reason. This is why Trump is dangerous as president.......he's insane. This is a very important issue so for him to behave like this is totally irresponsible. I think at the heart of all this, Trump really doesn't want to arrive at a plan to allow DACA to continue. He's rather deport all these young people. After his "shithole" comment, I'm sure of it.
Donald Trump killed DACA, not the Democrats.
Trump will go along with some DACA stuff as long as other immigration issues are dealt with.
I’ve seen Wolff and Trump interviewed.
It’s pretty clear to any rational observer who is closer to deranged.
How nice of Trump to kill DACA and then demand the Democrats give him something he wants in order to fix what he broke.
It's hard to have a rational conversation with irrational people.
You make him sound like a reasonable man when he is far from it.....this article lays out how difficult this process is. What's missing here is Trump participating. Letting those working on this in on what he'd like to see is important but instead, he blames Dems and is absent from these negotiations. After his "shithole" comment, I'd have to say he's sabotaging these efforts.
It was in that vein that the Graham staffer pressed several DHS officials who attended the Friday meeting whether they spoke for the White House on DACA decisions. For weeks, Hill Republicans have privately expressed frustration at the lack of guidance from the White House on what Trump would or wouldn't sign.
The Graham staffer, according to two sources familiar with the talks, asked that a White House official be present next time to help move negotiations along. DHS officials agreed.
I’ve been waiting for Trump to weigh in on the media and the Democrats.
To hell with Trump, get the 67 votes and make him act.(same with the two-thirds majority in the house) If he vetoes, override it. I'm sure if the Republicans are reasonable, they'll get the Democrats on board.
Exactly ... Trump is reportedly demanding funding for his wall to be part of DACA. He's the one being unreasonable and trying to push an unpopular idea. Dems and Pubs should just bypass him and override his veto. It is the right thing to do.
Literally nobody trusts Donald Trump
I think he now also wants funding for a wall around Haiti
Don't worry, Haiti will pay for it
if they are here illegally then they should be deported
if they are not citizens they have no right of protection from deportation
libs want them to remain not because they care about them but because they are dem voters-pure and simple
and I am sure that is one of the reasons you want them to stay
as far as his supposed shit hole comments which I doubt is true but would be okay if it were - please explain to me how using the word shit hole to describe those 3rd world countries is untrue
False everybody knew that the wall and other terms would be required to get DACA. We have a president that won't cave in to the lefts ridiculous demands. If Daca fails nobody to blame but the left.
Calling a 3rd world country a shit hole is common.....it lacks any intellectual thought or curiosity. In this incident, using the phrase reflected more on Trump than the countries he disparaged. Using this term against countries that are poor and have suffered damages from natural disasters or wars put his lack of humanity on display. He dehumanized the country and it's people.
Yep he just did what the same Dems calling him out have done numerous times.
Trump wants this to be done by congress, which is practically impossible. The reason why this is practically impossible is because the Republicans won't agree to DACA without security (including some wall funding) and the Democrats won't agree to a deal that includes any wall funding.
It shouldn't be a difficult fix if both sides are flexible, however both sides aren't flexible.
The wall and DACA are two separate issues.
Drop the demand of the wall funding (make it a separate bill) the demand by the Pubs should be that it becomes law that effective as of the signing of the bill No NEW illegal immigrant gets amnesty and change the automatic citizen birthright requirements to be tougher.
Once its law it is easier to say no from that date on......
To you the wall and DACA are two separate issues, to the Republicans they are not. It's really not that complicated. Both sides have to give.
