The silence was more disgusting than the hyperbole. Props to you for speaking up.

Amen. I wish they could clone you. The US needs more conservatives such as yourself.

This is extremely convoluted logic. Monitoring them costs significantly less than detaining them.

Anybody that doesn't understand that this will be met with the same opposition as anything else other than "let them go their way and don't expect to see them again" -- the legal arguments for which is basically "reeeeEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE" -- is kidding themselves. Expect full throated RESISTence to this as well.

Frankly, I feel that is true conservatism. Doing right. It should be the goal of liberalism too. If both sides would just try and DO right instead of BE right it might all be different.

Maybe not. I feel the response in this thread alone, shows there is some common ground here.

Ok. But it was not kidnapping or hostage taking.

    1. yes it was terrible thing
    2. no one supports killing the unborn. Many people support allowing a woman to decide up to a point in the pregnancy whether to continue it or not.

Not me. The federal government forcibly separated me from my kids for a year when the US Army deployed my ass. My kids were 6 and 3 at the time.

20 some odd days isn't crap.

Research on military deployment separations--both war and peace time deployments--show a range of negative psychological effects on children associated with separation. It would be foolish to think or assume that somehow negative separation effects wouldn't be a problem for immigrant children being separated from parents. Though fwiw, your choice of joining the military makes your deployments not forced, but part of your obligation, and basically irrelevant to whether child separation has negative effects on children.

That "point" according to Obama is up to the moment before natural delivery. You agree?

So Gator lawyer and AZcat "come on man" this post. A factual post that was documented back then when it was happening.

My units Soldiers perform annual training in 29 day stints every year and are are still being mobilized for year long missions overseas. Our kids spend a lot of time separated from mom and dad. 20 some odd days is NORMAL every year. And you 2hine about being separated for 20 days.

I have served for 29 years active and reserve. I don't require any thanks, just ask the citizens of this country to help make this country worth serving. Not even the likes of you two who defend illegal immigrant law breakers and whine about their stuggles and "come on man" mine are enough to sour me.

the faux outrage by the left over illegal foreign nationals kids being separated from the adult they came with until we can ascertain if the adult they came with is actually related to the kid is almost humorous- guess what this faux outrage won't get Trump either- and the reason you know it is faux outrage is how quickly the libs switched to - oh my this new SCOTUS nominee is going to take away our right to kill our unborn children and oh my this new SCOTUS nominee is going to take away our birth control and oh my no way prezDT should be allowed to nominate a new Justice to SCOTUS while he is under investigation- when this guy gets approved they will just move on to the next idea of how to remove prezDT- it happens like clockwork - the libs in Congress and the media is so invested in this they are squandering the usual gain by the opposition party in midterm elections- have at it-won't change a thing and will NOT remove prezDT
