That pretty much covers it, I think. Regardless, the more attention they receive the more they will continue to act out.

This is pretty messed up, no matter what you think of the case and its verdict... Sick, really.

As an aside, do you ever attach in your head a "voice" to certain posters when reading their posts? LOL for some reason when I read yours I always hear Bomani Jones from ESPN saying it.

Anyway to respond to your post, how come "we can't just ignore these kids"?

Sad, just sad commentary on our society that some think it is amusing and acceptable.

Why pick on young people today like they're the ones who've taken our collective souls over the cliff?

Remember the shuttle jokes after the Challenger blew up? Or the Jim Brady jokes after the Reagan assassination attempt? As I recall, practically every time somebody famous died back then, you could count on jokes making the rounds in just a few days. Those things spread like wildfire without benefit of an internet to speed them on their way, and as I recall, they weren't particularly limited to the younger set even back then. The jokes were so pervasive and so popular they were made into book series like Blanche Knott's Truly Tasteless Jokes.

The only difference today is the same type of individuals have multimedia presentation at their disposal.
