has anyone heard anything about which players will be leaving the program this offseason?
A few days ago I read something about Muschamp hinting players who don't buy in will transfer or something like that. Maybe since there back is against the wall they will push out some of the unproductive players.
Im wondering if D. Rob is going. If I were him I'd ask for a redshirt just to not waste another year of eligibility on this staff.
I'll take a few guesses
Robinson - The suspension worries me..he may be out of here.
Colin or Kent - Neither getting time at TE, I think one or possibly both bolt
Dunbar won't transfer, but I think he is sick of being unused in the offense when he really is a good receiver..he should be mad..so he may go to the NFL despite not being a high pick
I'm sure we lose more of course...just can't think of whom it would be.
I also think we lose someone important...absolutely no clue on who but I feel this offseason will be kind of rough and one key guy will bolt..someone like Humphries or someone we need. Hopefully not, hope it's just guys we are just using as back ups and not big pieces of our team like our best returning tackle.
this is the one that i had in mind when i posted this. honestly i wouldn't blame him. i don't know how anyone can blame a 5* offensive recruit for getting out of here after what has been going on. i highly doubt dunbar goes to the NFL(maybe a 7th round pick, probably undrafted) or transfer(to late in the game for him)
I expect all the O-Linemen to transfer. They not using them for anything.
You smoke weed, you don't play. He also was consistently messing up routes. He has a lot of talent but people develop at different rates, I think he will play have a good career here if he get's his head straight, but I wouldn't be surprised to see him leave as a lot of talented kids don't deal with being held off the field well.
We'll see what kind of attitude he has over the next few months.
The two TE's wouldn't see the field anywhere. They both should stay and work on their problems, both have huge upside and potential, but didn't play for legit reasons.
I don't know if the future will have a role for a pass receiving tight end like Taylor, but Colin Thompson looked great in the few games he was healthy. If he can ever overcome his foot problems, he'll be the starter
I thought to play at UF you HAD to smoke weed (or was that something only Meyer required?) Maybe that's our whole problem. We don't do the WEED anymore!
I know you were being sarcastic, but I just don't find the humor in this...
Sorry Jax, that "dislike" was actually intended for the poster above you! I guess there is no way to delete that?
I think you can delete the rating or at least you could before...
Whether we like it or not, Will Muschamp is trying to clean up the image of the Florida Gators. I am not sure if he has his priorities straight if Gainesville kids smoking pot is a higher priority than spitting on opponents or getting into fights on the field. Sure, enforcing the NCAA substance abuse policy is important, but surely there are programs they can put the athletes in that will cure their addiction, because suspending players has not worked in reducing the amount of substance abuse. Perhaps spending some program money on substance abuse programs for athletes will help fix these kids. That being said, I think Demarcus Robinson is too far gone with his pot habit and will transfer to a school that is more tolerant of substance abuse for athletes. Maybe he will get lucky and Will Muschamp will hire a new OC that inspires him to clean up.
Other than D. Rob, I do not foresee any other transfers.
I don't find it funny either, but the over under on players that smoke weed is probably 35. Of 85 scholies a little less than half would be my guess....sad but true....
You very well may be correct. Weed is pretty prominent across most college campuses. I guess it was just the way it was presented. I'm pretty "pro-player" on things.. LOL
no worries, i don't it personally ha.
Not that I am trying to sensor anyone, but why are we discussing players that might possibly transfer? That seems like feeding rumors that only serve to hurt the program. If a player is insinuating they might leave for the NFL that is one thing, but shouldn't we refrain from spreading rumors and wild speculation about players currently on the roster who have not indicated in any way that they want play for anyone but the Gators? JMO.
Because the off season started 30 days earlier than it should. There are a lot of rumors swirling around the program right now. This is a fan message board where fans come together to speculate on the programs future.
Also, players transfer every year. It is going to happen.
