I'm an old codger who got a basic $100 LG phone and love it.

I want one I can log on to TV with and watch sports. Do these companies allow you to trade in an old phone for a newer one like car companies?

Off and on, no national carrier is doing a deal that I know of. Varies by retailer, and area as almost all of the stores are franchises in one way or another. Expect a new contract, or 700$+ purchase on a higher end phone.
