They did not have very good performances vs. Auburn or Ole Miss. Pretty ugly.

    We look a little tired.

Hill has been missing w injury.

Prather had his worst game of the season vs. Ole Miss.

That being said, we went 2-0, won a record 19th straight and may end up being No. 1 when the new rankings come out.

Our tough weeks are good weeks.

With Henderson playing the way he did in the first half, I think today's game was a very good win

Mississippi was held to 12 points in the final 8 minutes of that game (3 being the irrelevant 3 with 3 sec left) & was never within less then 4 points at any point in the last 5:40 with Henderson going scoreless in the entire 2nd Half. Awesome win

OP is on to something here. I love the win, but thinking big picture here:

    1) Kasey please get healthy and come back. Scottie looks tired out there. But Kasey is so good at putting the offense in motion. He will drive and dish to the open man. We need him back.

    2) Pat's knees are bothering him. Won't be surprised to see Billy sit him for a game or two. I've battled tendinitis myself, and it can be a killer. Young isn't rotating the same on D. Announcers alluding to that as well.

More important than these wins are making sure we are as close to full strength as possible for the tourny! That being said it feels so good to shove it down Marshall's throat. You could tell Scottie loved doing the chomp at the end! Extra sauce on that one.

How many turnovers did we have? I saw LOTS of sloppy play vs Ole Miss.

But a win is a win is a win. It was not a thing of beauty.

It does suck a little that the players really don't have much of a break when conference play starts. It's two games a week, many of them on the road, and some of them on short turnarounds.

Agreed. We didn't play our best today, but we played pretty well. Ole Miss was shooting lights out on their home court, but we took their best shot and still won.

I loved this week. Some were saying they wanted us to lose a game just to make sure we are focused. These two games have done more for our team then a loss would've all while keeping us still setup for a 1 seed. Not saying we don't lose one but this week was beneficial in my opinion.

Today we played very well considering Young couldn't move in the post(the reason they got a lot of good looks which no one ever does vs UF). If Henderson isn't making ridiculous shots and Young isn't hampered some, we win going away. We didn't play our best game, but the Ole Miss win wasn't ugly. The Auburn win really was though lol

Also. Anyone who claims we don't need Hill..gtfo of here lol. I think he opens up a whole new offense for us while in to create more mismatches for us.

Scottie was a little careless with the ball today. 5 turnovers.

Say what you will. We just weren't crisp this week, for a number of reasons. Another of which was the two big games and wins from the previous week.

Make no mistake, this group is tough and getting done. But they do need to get back their legs and Hill.

It was a sloppy week but it is reassuring to our guys winning these types of games. Teams are going to go through stretches like this, I think it comes with the territory of being a top team, were going to get everyones best shot. Just think it is a great sign to see us winning these games rather than losing them like last year.

I agree with everything the op wrote, except I would say they did not have "their best" performances. They won a couple of dogfights, making big shots and FTs down the stretch.

We need to get our freshmen some minutes to close out schedule. Anyone have a status on Hill? We get him back and we get opposing defenses on their heels a bit and maybe get Walker more involved at post.
