He started the Bulls' first summer league game. Fouled out in 18 minutes with 10 fouls(!). Missed all six of his three point shots and collected zero rebounds. Ouch.

Hopefully he'll do better in the remaining games and get a spot.

He is going to struggle defending his position and rebounding the basketball at the NBA level

I've been curious for a while to see how his three-point shot translates to the NBA-level. He's obviously got outstanding form and he was an excellent shooter for us, but he didn't have much range beyond the arc. He usually planted his feet pretty firmly at the three-point line. I wonder if the added distance will hurt him.

IMO, EMurph will have a long, but non-notable NBA career.

Unless something kicks in mentally (physically?) I see a career bouncing around the league and the DL. Just not a good comparison to Bonner. He can hold up in the paint on D where Murph just isn't big enough. JMHO

Picked up where he left off from the "dance". way to slow and nonathletic. Not in the same league as Matt Bonner.

Disagree... Bonner was a much better all around player than Murphy.

Murphy had a very nice career at UF but he does tend to play a bit soft. Bonner has had a solid 10 year plus career while Murphy will have to struggle to make the Bulls roster next year.

I may be wrong, but I think Bonner was cut by the team that drafted him, and then played overseas before catching on with San Antonio.

Correct. Drafted by the Bulls in second round, brief stint in Europe, on to Toronto for a couple then the Spurs.

Well, if he keeps that up, he'll make the roster easily...
