i know we've had this, or similar ones in the past. but i was sitting here listening to a mix i've made, and i was thinking to myself 'self, what are your favorite albums?'

it's really difficult to limit yourself to 10. because you have ones for different moods, different feelings, different days...

so i haven't come to a final decision yet.

i know u2's 'the joshua tree' is in there, the clash's 'london calling', r.e.m. 'out of time', ramones 'rocket to russia'...
bob marley's 'legend', bruce springsteen's 'the rising', green day's 'nimrod'

my guilty pleasure, and it's in my top 10..is duran duran's 'rio'.

the rest are gonna take some thought

but i'd love to see some of your choices!

i'm gonna add the police 'regatta de blanc'* to my top ten. blondie's 'parallel lines'....and how can i leave out nirvana's 'nevermind'? dang.
i might have to change it to 'top 20 albums'....
can't forget bowie....it'd be difficult....diamond dogs, aladdin sane, ziggy....young americans...lets dance...'what to do what to do???" aerosmiths 'get your wings'....

    this is hard!!!

*can't decide between that one and their 'zenyatta mondatta' album

while driving around yesterday i was still rethinking my list. my favorite band of all times is the Grateful Dead but their studio work pales in comparison to the live stuff, so as much as it pains me i had to leave them off

    1. Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon
    2. The Beatles - Abbey Road
    3. Wilco - A Ghost is Born
    4. Alabama Shakes - Boys and Girls (fairly new group, their only album but I saw them at the Fillmore in Miami and they were really, really great live).
    5. OutKast - Speakerboxx/The Love Below (mostly because of The Love Below)
    6. Cake - Fashion Nugget
    7. U2 - The Joshua Tree
    8. Beastie Boys - Paul's Boutique
    9. The Doors - Morrison Hotel
    10. Bob Marley & the Wailers - Uprising (although if I could include the four disc box set of Songs of Freedom I would do that, but I think that violates the spirit of listing a single album.)
