I'm not sure if this game will be close. If Florida can play mistake free football I think this could be a blowout. My reasoning is Miami was one of the worst defensive units in the country last year. Here are the numbers to compare:

    2012
Florida Rushing 188 ypg -Miami rush allowed 218 ypg
Miami Rushing 144 ypg - Florida rush allowed 94 ypg

Florida Passing 146 ypg - Miami pass allowed 269 ypg
Miami Passing 295 ypg - Florida pass allowed 193 ypg

Bottom line, the Miami defense is not very good. If they cannot stop the run and create turnovers this could lead to a rout.

That's the plan baby! Except when they're fresh we'll see more passing

But expect the last 30 plays to have like 5 passes in then

Well, they do return a lot of experience from last year, and they are going to be fired up to prove themselves.

And Toledo's defense was about as bad last year, and we didn't quite blow them out, although easily could have.

I think a blow out is possible, and don't see us losing unless we go into a melt down like UGA last year, or if Morris somehow channels Bridgewater. But I don't think Morris is anywhere near the QB that Teddy is.

I follow recruiting pretty closely and I only recognized a handful of player son their 2 deep on D. I just don't think they have the talent, no matter how much experience they have.

I wouldn't get too caught up in last year's stats.

Our 2007 D was pretty bad and our 2008 D played lights-out. The difference? Experience.

Not saying UM'a D will make the same leap but we cannot assume they will be the same or even similar D to last year's.

Besides, we are not a team to blow anyone out unless we capitalize on a ton of turnovers like in the USC game last year...

Never a blowout with long drives and few passes. But maybe we unleash our passing this week. We'll see. But a NO to blowout, thats not who we are anymore. Not being funny, jmho.

Morris is no Bridgewater, that is certain.

Follow the game plan, wear them down and don't make mistakes. Give them nothing easy.

If you force scUM into having to make methodical drives in order to score, it will only result in field goals and more often end in drive killing mistakes.

If that happens, they don't have a chance in hell.

Depends on what you're definition of a blowout is.

    50+ points, no way.

31-6 is the new blowout for us.

I think Miami will fight hard early but as the game goes on they will wear down. There is no pixie dust to sprinkle on a weak defense. It takes years to remedy. Were seeing that here from the transition from the Spread Option offense.

Brando just picked scUM, says we don't have the offense to keep up with high scoring Morris and Duke Johnson.

I don't know where most of you people have been, but whole you were sleeping Stephen Morris has been given a 1st round draft rating by pretty much every major scout out there. Do not underestimate that cane offense.

Ponder and EJ were first rounders. Draft grade has nothing to do with playing great college football.

There's no such thing as an ugly victory against a rival. So, as long as we win it wont be ugly.

It is sort of hit or miss. Florida and FSU have done very well in South FL lately and that has hurt them. The experience definitely helps, but the upside is far lower for them than their in-state rivals.

We are not a quick strike offense and we like to take time off the clock, add that to the new clock rules for the past few years and that formula will keep most Gator games close within a two possession game. Even Toledo was within 11 points with :55 seconds to go in the third quarter..which doesn't leave room for a mistake that leads to an easy score.
