and things I hope to never see again:
    1. A Gator team being mocked by a markedly inferior team (Mizzou)
    2. Gator chomps done in derision by a fanbase without a pot to piss in
    3. A defensive lineman taking not one, but two blatant shots to an opposing QB's head.
    4. Freshmen WRs wanting playing time, then dropping every ball thrown their way.
    5. Coaches arguing with each other on the sideline (Looked like Davis and Muschamp, is Pease on the sideline?)
    6. Players reading their press clippings about their draft potential while forgetting they are 20 years old and still have at least 12 more collegiate games to put on their resume.
    7. Praises by broadcasters for "star corners" that have made approximately two stellar defensive plays on receivers in half a season.
8.Reports of players having "heated exchanges"(something about injured Ron Powell having to get between Morrison and some DBs).
    9. Players visibly giving up on their coaches and game plans.
    10. Receivers afraid to run slants and stretch out and get a ball.
    11. Finding some good athletes and plays to run, scoring a TD, then immediately abandoning all that works.
    12. Coaches putting blame on the minor aspects of the game (punter, one lineman) while ignoring the big picture (the entire OL, the playcalling, the backups that come in and perform better than the starters).
    13. A team looking like they'd rather sit around and smoke dope instead of studying the playbook and watching film. I'd drug test everyone immediately.
    14. Defensive backs out of position, waiting for their man to catch the ball first before they react to the ball, going so far as to drop interceptions thrown directly at them.

Thank you Jesus I didn't make the drive out there this weekend to see this game.
This spiral is as bad as the decline in the Zook era.

After today, it doesn't look like anyone on our team would be drafted this year. Maybe Kelvin Taylor and VH3, but they're ineligible, of course

So you didn't care for the days when fans and teams and entire regions of the country feared the Gators and pretty much spotted us an intimidation factor before we even stepped on the field? No one's fearing the Gators (or the Swamp) now.

Our swagger went north to Columbus, Ohio. We were a speedy scoring machine with a fierce defense and great special teams to match.

Glad I didn't take the bus to the game with the KC gator club. Mizzou fans can be quite obnoxious without the history to back their arrogance. Pinkel and the players are are class act, but some of their fans not so much. Guess that's true anywhere, but they are in league with Georgia fans in that regard.

If you don't think the Gators were the markedly inferior team today, you didn't watch the game.

That was a really good team, good on both lines, lots of speed, big receivers, and that was their freshman backup QB who did that to us today.

We had 151 yards in total offense plus a 100 yard kickoff return.

They had 500 yards of total offense against us, including 205 rushing the football.

    They won by 19.

And the game was not as close as the score indicates.

Nice synopsis, but very few of those happened in 2003. Maybe #14

Look, Mizzou has a good football team this year, but c'mon. They're not going to beat Alabama, even if they do make it to Atlanta.

Whatever....we got beat by a much better team! I just don't want this team to quit midway through the season. It sure looked like the defense cashed it in during the 4th Q.

Worse O line play I have seen since ? I can't remember. Something needs to be done. IMO, OL coach should get canned. RT, don't want to mention his name, was finally benched. Our RT looked like he was wearing cement shoes. It was totally awful.

The rest of the line was not much better.

Boom needs to do something and do it quickly.

    Total Offense

    Year---------------Total Offense

    2000.......................24th

    2002.......................25th
    2003.......................46th (true freshman QB)
    2004.......................22d

    2005.......................61st
    2006.......................19th
    2007.......................14th
    2008.......................15th
    2009.........................6th

    2010........................82d
    2011......................105d
    2012......................103d
    2013........................93d (and dropping)

Meyer had two offenses worse than Zaun's. If we had the 2004 offense, we'd be in the top five right now.

OL coach needs to be fired before Monday. Entire team along with all the coaches need to run the bleachers when they get home tonight.

People hated the bubble screen.. But we beat LSU in their NC year with the bubble screen.

This O has been bad since 2010, and it seems to be getting worse.

Meyer used the off week to change our O, he had Leak stop running the option and go with a pro set. It worked for us then. Let's see if we can do something this off week to change our future.

Great thread. It really stands out to me that Muschamp has lost control over this team. I saw it last week with the timeout and players still playing dirty...saw it again today with coaches and our own players fighting on the sidelines. Muschamp is way in over his head. Wish Texas would come calling for him, but not a chance they do. We have to wait this out another 1.5 years. Sucks

Zaun didn't use the bubble screen nearly as much as people think. I watched every game on tape from 2002 and 2003 and counted them. Came out to about 2.5 per game.

Also, it took Meyer a VERY long time to make that transition to a more prostyle offense. Had he kept Fedora as OC until Leak left, we might have competed for a MNC in 2005, as 2005 was the first year we had a loaded, experienced defense since 2001. A top ten defense mated to a top 10-15 offense would have been lethal.
