They (Obama's liberals) always go back to academia.

How can so many that have proven to be so inept, be accepted in any academic position?

Since when have we viewed the president of the university of california as some scumbag job? And why does this have to do with Obama? Isn't this the case with many government officials? Larry Summers. Joseph Stiglitz. Hazel O'Leary. Lauro Cavazos. Etc. They are hired due to their expertise, and then they return to their field of expertise. Doesn't seem like suc a scandal to me.

I think my problem is that this is done selectively.

Was not Milton Friedman primarily an academic?

Much better that they come from big pharma, big Agra or big oil and spend their time in government helping out their old buddies?

    Nope.

The weakest(from an intelligence standpoint) in our society are usually those who teach.

I suspect that you do not view public intellectual discourse, like that which occurs on political message boards, as teaching?

Also, a quick check indicates that the empirical data does not support your, what I am assuming is a theoretical, claim.

I would agree if your posts are representative of the results of teaching.

I'd say going back to academia is better than becoming a lobbyist, which tends to be the other career path for former pols and appointees.

Most such generalizations are baseless but can be thrown out entirely if they're followed up with selected exemptions.

Which is usually how it's done.
