And you think the cost of obamacare wont spiral out of control. You are dreaming.

    http://www.digitaltrends.com/opinion/obamacare-healthcare-gov-website-cost/

    http://weaselzippers.us/2013/10/09/...led-out-634320919-to-build-obamacare-website/

Given the complicated nature of federal contracts, it’s difficult to make a direct comparison between the cost to develop Healthcare.gov and the amount of money spent building private online businesses. But for the sake of putting the monstrous amount of money into perspective, here are a few figures to chew on: Facebook, which received its first investment in June 2004, operated for a full six years before surpassing the $600 million mark in June 2010. Twitter, created in 2006, managed to get by with only $360.17 million in total funding until a $400 million boost in 2011. Instagram ginned up just $57.5 million in funding before Facebook bought it for (a staggering) $1 billion last year. And LinkedIn and Spotify, meanwhile, have only raised, respectively, $200 million and $288 million.

Government has a long history of spending money unnecessarily. But in an age when the U.S is home to the world’s largest, most successful Internet companies, how is it possible that we can’t even manage to build a functional website without blowing through hundreds of millions of dollars?

That number makes no sense at all. Fox claims $93M, which is still a hefty sum.

If that's true than the Dems might be embezzling large sums of money from that fund to do more vote buying in the next elections.

Seems too high to believe. If true, it's preposterous.

As I understand it, the Healthcare.gov website is only applicable to the states that didn't set up their own exchanges. So, the $634 M was spent only on the website for 33 states plus DC.

As a result, the total amount spent on the all the websites is much higher if you add in the 17 states that set up their own exchanges.

For instance, this article talks about the money Hawaii spent on its website (coincidently built by the same morons that built the Federal site):

    Ouch!

The $95 million was the original estimate, which is only off by $550,000,000.00+ and counting dollars. And the Dems think that Obama-scam/tax wont be a boondoggle?

in 2008 they had $9.4M, 2009 they got $63M, 2010 they got $80M, in 2011 they got $152M, 2012 they got $134M. That is some amazing growth in the contracts they got from the feds. Wonder who they supported for pres....friends of 0 banking some coin

any wonder why the economy in Virginia is good. fattest pig always feeds closest to the point where the food hits the trough

As explained in the links in the OP, the $93M was the cost of the original contract signed in 2011. Since then, the price has ballooned to the $634 M.

Here's the link to the official Federal site that details all the money spent on the IT infrastructure for the Federally-run exchange sites:

This is just a small example of just how inept that the Federal Government really is.

in regards to OP's claim as to cost and the links provided---numbers refuted even by Fox

dear OP, even Fox considers your post to be BS

and is rated----though I'd personally give you a 1 on the meter since you are so sincere

And this fact above exemplifies/typifies why Obama-scam will cost WAY MORE than the government says it will.

I would like to think it's a question Obama will be forced to answer. At $500 million+ he let the country be taken advantage of. It's despicable.
