LSU loses its Saturday starter (Eades) from the 2013 season. We return our ace, Nola, and our Sunday starter, Glenn, who will both be juniors in 2014.

Our infield loses our first and second basemen, but we return our freshmen national player of the year, SS Alex Bregman, our 3rd baseman, and 2 out of 3 outfielders.

It also looks like we'll keep a good number of our highly ranked signees. Among our best signees that we're likely to keep is 1B/LHP Nick Longhi from Venice, Florida (Venice).

    I think we'll be preseason top 10 in 2014.

    Geaux Tigers!

LSU will be very stout again. I think SC and Vandy will both fall back considerably (maybe Arky too). Both teams are losing a ton, both are solid programs but it's tough when you lose all your key players. I look for FL, A & M, Bama to all take steps forward. Ole Miss will lose a decent amount, Miss State keeps most in tact. At the end of the day, SEC will be darn right nasty again in baseball.

So Nola can't be drafted until next year? He is amazing.

The head coach at Venice is Craig Faulkner and the asst. coach is Mark Guthrie, both played for Skip Bertman at LSU.

Yep, thankfully we get him for at least one more year.
