Brian Johnson of AC/DC signed the hat today. He is a real character.

Patrick Dempsey's car. He finished on the podium last year. He is the next Paul Newman- great actor, loves racing, works so hard he got very good at it. And he is genuinely a nice guy.

Alaska pictures are very nice. Figured I should share some of my West Coast Road trip pictures here:
Grand Canyon North Rim-
Sequoia National Park (huge ass trees)-
Yosemite rock climbing-
hiking up halfdome-
hiking up it (this path is pretty damn intense and very scary for most normal people. given that i rock climb and am not afraid of heights, i was perfectly fine.)
I can give album links if anyone is interested. was a great time; hiking and rock climbing all throughout the summer.
very nic. headed back to San Fran, Kings Canyon/Sequoia, Yosemite in June. Kids were younger last time so we didn't get to do half dome. Hope we get weather that clear when we are there
did you need gloves for cables at half dome?
did you hike the narrows at Zion? Water was high when we were there so I didn't get to do that.
Did you do Angel's Rest in Zion? That was a great hike.
you should visit Glacier national park and canadian rockies around Lake Louise Alberta. Stunningly beautiful
I did not need gloves for the cables. A note on equipment there- some people had some clips and were clipping themselves to the cable. The ascent really isn't a problem; it's the downclimb that is an issue.
In Zion, yes, I did Angels Landing. I didn't do the Narrows this time, but I did it on my previous trip to Zion. I did a few other hikes there last time...Zion overall is just fantastic and beautiful.
I would like to try Glacier National Park; my friend went there last summer. I was jealous...maybe someday!
Were there any kids doing the climb up half dome. Kids are great hikers and we went to the base 3 years ago but son was too young and tired to try it then. He did ANgel's Rest the following summer though.
We were in Glacier first of July and the GTTS road had not opened up yet due to record snowfall winter 2011. Lot of high country trails were still closed. If you go, stay in Many Glacier area but you need to book a year ahead of time as it books up very fast.
Lake Louise in Alberta was also a great place. Lake O'Hara is limited use area you want to go to. Advance reservations MUST be made. They only allow 70 or so people per day to go in.
some pics back a few pages but lots of pics here. skip past Niagara pics
There were not many kids doing the hike up half dome. I think you need to really make sure they get some clips or something to make sure they don't lose their footing. I can easily see someone slipping on the descent of half dome if they are not careful.
album with some Grand Cayman dive photos. Got more to edit and add later. Hard to do dive photography and still stay with dive master and rest of group. Got a lot to learn about underwater photography
big iguana letting little iguana know he wasn't welcome, bit and shook his tail a little
