You are right about that. Just a different timeline than many fans have. And more context wrt the roster situation and Champ's potential.

We need to put a quality team on the field next year for Champ to continue beyond 2014.

No, it's making the assumption he knows more than you do.

Which is like assuming the sun will set tonight and rise tomorrow. Pretty damned safe assumption.

I don't understand this whole notion that we have to be deferential to those in power and should never have the temerity to criticize their decisions or policies.

    Seems rather totalitarian to me.

You can critique, and criticize and do pretty much what you want, just make sure you have FULLY understood what you are making a stink about, that's all, otherwise opinions are like............you fill in the blank.

    No deference needed.

How about we support our program? Including a very bright young coach working through some horrendous roster issues, and likely a bad decision or two with his offensive staff.

The staff decisions you can put on him, but the roster issues are mostly out of his control... and are being dealt with as we move forward.

Is it not worth giving the guy a chance to see what he can do with his roster? And maybe make a course correction on offense?

Especially if you believe in the coach's potential, as it appears Foley does, and certainly Texas did before Foley.

No one claims Richt is a great coach. In fact, we fear WM is a Richt at best.

And 9 wins is not good enough. This is Florida not Arkansas.

Surely you agree that comes a point in any organization where you best support the institution by calling for a change in leadership. We may not be in agreement, but for many of us that point came last Saturday. There is not a true Gator on this board who does not want to see our program succesful again. Speaking for self, I don't think the "stay the course" method is going to result in the end state we all want. I think under Muschamp the program will continue to grow worse. How can I support that?

If you would understand probability and statistics, it would make perfect sense. Experienced talent trumps everything. Urban Meyer won 10+ games when he had experienced talent. He won less than 10 games when he didn't. He NEVER had a season at Florida or anywhere else when he had lost 12+ players before the season started AND lost seven MORE starters during the season.

    It is cut and dried.

There are examples where a team could maintain or improve their previous year's record after losing 12+ starters (Zook did it twice at Florida), but there are NO examples of a team with a winning record after losing more than 14 starters during the season since 2000.

    Not one.

Your problem is that you place FAR, FAR too much emphasis on the head coach, as though the head coach can transcend attrition and injuries. They can't. Try to get that through your head.

In the pat 30 years, we AVERAGE 9 wins a year. Arkansas averages 6-7 wins a year.

Try to gain some perspective, PLEASE!
