OK.. My point centered around fields being better, so why wouldn't he start next year? Yeah UGA has had great backs in the past, but you don't replace Michel and Chubb with swift and who? Could it happen sure, but that's like UF fans thinking Debose was Percy Harvin. UF recently had a coach that tried to duplicate Bama, I'm not saying smart is Muschamp, but it's a little early to tell.

Back to Fromm, I'm not going to UGA boards to rile up the natives, you're on a Gator board, so the rival hate you read is because you're on a rival board. For what it's worth I'd take Eason over Fromm. Enjoy the ride though, it can be over in a flash, and before you know it, it's been 8 years since your team was relevant.

Oh yeah who am I kidding, you guys have been waiting for 37 years.. My b

I agree, Shane. That's why my guess is that he redshirts.

You made points, I made points. I don’t respond to blind hate comments. Eason never had the touch Fromm already has. You’re right the other guys won’t be Chubb/Michel but with even more improved blocking the drop off may be smaller than thought. When Gurley went out everyone predicted the ground game would tank then Chubb went off. Time will tell if Swift, White, Cook, Holyfield and all those 5* Olinemen can keep the run game dominant. Michel averaged 8.0 ypc this year, Swift 7.8. Who knows?

Ride may be over Monday night...

I personally think Eason sucks. I hate tall guys who drop their release point to shoulder level. Like taking your built in advantage and flushing it down the toilet. Reminds me of Brock Osweiler. UGa will be better off if he transfers.

A lot depends on how well Kirby can manage their egos, thoughts, and emotions. How much will they buy into the QB competition, does Eason have a real shot at getting back on the field? Tough to pull the guy that got you to the NC, but it's not like Fromm carried them there on his arm, Chubb and Michel carried them on their legs! Looks like one will leave and it's whomever feels he doesn't have a shot at the field! There aren't enough reps in practice to keep them all involved with the 1's!

Not a soul who follows football thought the UGA running game would fall off when Chubb had to become the #1 when Gurley went out.

But I agree, the running game next year won't miss a beat because the OL will be just as good with even more depth due to the monstrous OL class and Swift/Holyfield/Cook, and White will pick up where Chubb and Michell left off. My Gator fans just salty that its our hated rival finally getting their shyt straight.

A knee injury to Fromm could take care of that (Eason certainly would transfer, possibly to SCUM)

I think Eason was supposed to be the next Brady. 5 stars occasionally pan out like they are advertised, but mostly not.

He is still an unknown, considering he has only played 1 year and uga was a different team last year around him. I think he could end up at Miami or Washington and have a great like Grier did for WVU. Then again he may be another Jacob Coker type.

Shane, I like you man but I don't think it's possible to disagree with this statement more than i do. Jake is a nice story by taking over for an injured Eason and didn't do anything to lose any games but very, very rare once in a 20 year QB is extreme hyperbole imo.

Justin fields is more talented than fromm and his talents are more rare than Fromm.

Eason = Brock Osweiller. Tall guy who wastes his inherent advantage by dropping release point to shoulder level. He'll never have touch with that release. Oh, and Brady has a classic over the top delivery, like his hero Joe Montana.

most likely because of his #1 overall in the country ranking

heaven forbid we only have the guy ranked #20 overall. Out of the THOUSANDS of high school football players across the country, there are only 19 guys ahead of Jones in some people's opinion

and we have to obsess about the one that doesn't want to be a Gator

Georgia should hope fields wants to sit for a year or two. Anyone think Fromm is going to be content taking a backseat after leading them tonthe title game?
