His release looks very similar to Danny Wuerffel's!

He looks a lot smaller than Tebow.

A QB who started at Nease as a freshman with a 5 on his jersey?! I can't see where you'd draw that comparison! ;)

Interesting article (undated, as far as I can see) about the kid:
... and another from last May:

Very impressive frosh highlights. He should get bigger, stronger and faster over the next few years.

But he really needs to work on his footwork throwing the ball.

Why does he need to be the next anybody? Why can't he just be Augie?

    Don't see the comparision yet.

If he runs for a touchdown with a broken leg, maybe that's a start.

There will never be another Tebow. I don't think anybody else will be as dominant or competitive. Nobody can compare with his intensity and drive. The mark he left on Florida football will be known for a very long time to come. I don't think a more passionate player will ever come. But we can hope...

In the mean time, Grier bringing us a NC in a year or two would be a nice start ;)

After watching the film this thread is focused on the wrong player, WR #6 is the player we should be focused on in Gator Country, he made this a highlight! Who is he and when does he visit!

#6 is Tristan Bennet(sp), this was his senior year, he is going to a small D 2/3 school.

I disagree, although I agree he was very dominant and competitive, I also believe that there are other players who have those qualities, and hopefully they will come play for the Gators. Then again, the idea of intensity/drive is all very subjective.

On that play where he kept the ball and ran, Tebow would have bowled over the defensive guy, and put him out of the game. He's got a quick delivery, and an average arm but looks very accurate. Of course we only see his good plays in these clips. Only time will tell but as another poster said he looks more like DW, which isn't a bad thing.

    Augie sounds too funny!

    We shall rename him "McLovin"

    Or just "ADB" for short.

If he gets overly physical, we could always call him Ted.

I'm hoping for a QB we know would be successful without the next Percy, the next Hernandez (thank God) and the next Pouncey brothers. While it doesn't seem to matter to us that no UF QB has been successful in the NFL, I'd like to see a prototype NFL QB come to UF, a 6'5" kid who can throw a frozen rope 40 yards to the left while he's running right, take a five step drop and and throw the ball as far or further than anyone on the field can catch it, can check off three or four receivers before he takes off and reads coverages in his sleep. Until then, I'll take the next Chris Leak.

lol so you're saying Tim wouldn't have been successful without those specific players? Just when I thought you were coming down to earth a little.
