I guess it explains why Issa won't release the transcripts.

Actually what River quoted shows that the pubs don't want all the facts out there--because there is no proof anywhere that the WH was involved.

Issa has made specific claims and released very small excerpts of the transcripts to back him up. But when full transcripts were released, against his will, it showed he was being extremely dishonest about what was said.
Again, maybe that's why he won't release the full transcripts that he promised to a year ago.

democrats have been the ones releasing the full transcripts. Issa is the one trying to stop them.
So who's trying to bring things to light and who isn't?

Maybe the Dems will then pursuade the lady who led the department (can't recall her name at the moment) to give full and open testimony. Afterall, if there is no there there she should be willing to sing like a canary right? Right?

Kind of hard to pretend that one side is trying to "bring things to light" when that side is redacting emails and memos and refusing to testify right? Right?

If only the person in the know would agree to testify....

Lois Lerner is a 30-year-old federal employee who was head of enforcement of the FEC by Reagan and to her top IRS position by Bush. Which side is she on?

Does it matter which "side" she's on? Not to me, it doesn't... She is likely the best person to know exactly what went on, and would be the best person for information on what did, and did not transpire while she was there...

Don't pretend that all the facts have already come to light, and that there is nothing to this scandal..

Well, given that the preponderance of the evidence lies that she directly targeted one side of the political aisle maybe that answers your question.

And do not make the juvenile argument that because someone was appointed by a particular President that automatically implies they share the same political leanings. Bush also appointed John David Sutor to the USSC and I doubt even you would have the gall to try to argue that Sutor was of the "conservative" wing. Lerner likely likewise.

Now, that your diversion was addressed and set to rest. Do you want still want to play your little game? If so, then explain why the DEMS are not trying to encourage the (per you Republican) woman at the center of the issue to "bring the complete story to light" as you pretend is the case. Would not matter what Lerner's leanings are right? Right?

You have asserted one side of the aisle is making every effort to bring forth all the information and that is just a flat-out country lie. Else Cummings et al would be doing everyting possible in private and public to see everthing she knows and has done is out there for all to see. And that, even you can see, has not and is not happening.

You're the who claimed she was on one side.
    Do you mean David Souter?

Actually, I was responding to Bill's claim that Democrats are trying to keep things under wraps. So let me ask again: If that's true, why are Democrats trying to get Issa to release full transcripts and why is he refusing?

So, "Darrell Issa says so" proves nothing. But "Elijah Cummings says so," well that's a different story. Apparently the OP thinks you CAN believe everything a congressman tells you...as long as there's a (D) after his name.

No need to pretend what is pretty much reality.
