It could have been called however I do not agree with the announcer that he launched into him. On the replay it clearly showed that Jabari had both feet on the ground when he hit him. I say it was a good no call.

At first, in full speed, it looked illegal. Slow mo, to me, showed otherwise. Regardless, he's got to be careful. That's twice he's done that.

Nothing about that hit was illegal. Didn't launch. Didn't use the crown of his helmet. Wraped up with both arms.

Some of the most absurd announcing I've ever heard.

I wonder if Stenchcomb is still ranting on Twitter.

By rule he only had to miss the first half, but I didn't see him in the second, and I was looking for him.

I was wondering who that idiot was that kept going on and on about how he led with the crown of his helmet. He did no such thing! He put his face right in the guy's chest.

That said, there was some contact with the UK player's helmet and I don't think it would have been a terrible call to have gotten a penalty. It's so hard to avoid contact with the offensive player's helmet even when you pretty much do everything correct on the tackle (as in target the chest rather than the head). I guess tacklers will have to aim even lower if they want to make sure there's no helmet-to-helmet contact.

He hit him with his face-mask and didn't even hit the other guys helmet which is perfectly legal... Stenchcumb is an idiot.

Stenchcomb played for the leg humpers. That's all you need to know.

I hate the targeting rule with a passion. We might as well put dresses on the players. That said, it was a perfectly legal, "lower the boom" tackle. Face mask right to the chest. What's his name, the colorman, was a stupid ass and showed he was pulling against Florida as usual. Now you tell me he is a former GA Boooldaawg. That explains a lot.

    Agreed.

Completely aware of my bias and am sure that was terrible announcing. Slanderous even.

"Targeting" is a hot topic, and any chance the announcers can talk about it they will. They have graphics and stats ready for it. If a play comes close to appear to be targeting, the commentators will spend 5 minutes talking about it.

They should change the foul and call it "hitting too hard".

Yes I have this image of guys running around in tutu’s, reaching out with their pointing finger, touching the opponent’s shoulder, and down they fall. Gesssh!
