thanks. lucky to have a friend that put us on the fish during a really hot grouper bite. he has an older 26' Parker with a 9'4" beam. Love that boat, so much room, so versatile. wish he would sell it to me. Can go offshore in 3 - 5 foot slop or run in 2 feet of water using the jackplate and trim tabs to chase snook/reds

son thinks he is ready for a big mahi, wahoo, or kingfish now. maybe next summer

The story of The Barbie Doll Challenge. You don't have to travel to a tourney site. We participate online, monthly contests by photo. Its fun.

    http://www.orlandosentinel.com/sports/os-weekend-insider-0913-20130912,0,4700090.story

In the article he mentions a tourney I'm in tomorrow, Help Keep Emily in Her School.
If you are near Titusville, feel free to stop in Kayaks by Bo before 3pm and buy raffle tickets for over 80 prize drawings.
All proceeds from this free entry fee tourney go to Help Emily

A deck of cards will be sold for $50. per card for a chance at a new 14' Inshore Power Boats (IPB) flats skiff with new trailer. (motor not included)

edit: Whooo! over $11,000 was raised from this year's event!

One of the 121 anglers from yesterday already posted a video. We were blessed with a beautiful day and lots of money was raised to Help Emily. I lost count how many dink trout I caught, but I won a few raffle prizes. A handful of Kanan lures and (two) $99. gift certs for www.oceanwaves.com sunglasses in Jax.
Great times were had by all.

Ocean Waves = best lenses available. Need to get to Jax and pick a pair up. These garbage costa's are falling apart.

Congrats on the tourney turnout and fiundraising success.

I'd never heard of Ocean Wave, but I am stoked because I've needed a good pair for over a year. Been looking at their website today. I have 2 pair of broken Maui Jim, love them but they wore out and I have not had $110. to send them in.
Another new name is RCI Optics, out of Cocoa. They are great lenses.

I've got a pair of Kaenon Arlo's with amber lenses for inshore and Guidelines Elite Rio grey/blue lenses for offshore. Happy with both pairs.

I have Kaenon Kabin. Grey for offshore and amber for inshore. They discontinued that design but I liked them so much that I bought extra pairs for the long haul.

I can only use 1 cert per pair and I'm not buying 2. I'll trade the other one CHEAP if somebody wants it. The store told me they have lots more in the showroom than on their website so I'll be going to Jax Beach by 12/31/13.

I've owned Ocean Waves, Cosata Del Mars and Maui Jims. And by far, the Maui Jims are the best sunglasses you will ever own. If you have never owned a pair, then you cannot truly appreciate their quality. And for someone who is addicted to sunglasses (light sensitive eyes), I need the best ones I can get.

    I have 2 pairs...both Stingrays

    (1) Tortoise frame with the Bronze Lens (Top one)
    (1) Black Frame with Charcoal Lens (Bottom one)

My lil buddy has had some "good catches" lately.
We go bream fishing in the community pond a couple times a week. He is pretty proficient at reeling em in. The other day he hooked something that just kept running. He fought it like a champ and then I dragged it to shore. After which, he sat down and said. . . "Im tired. It almost broke my arm". LOL! He gave a weary thumbs up next to his trophy carp. (If there is such thing!)

A few days later we went on a boat ride. As always I brought a couple fishing rods... just in case. I saw a bunch of birds working over a school of bonito and skip jack. And so he caught his first off shore ocean fish!
