Where did he say that Carter to Georgia was a lock?

I am not trying to pick a fight, I am honestly just curious. I read that nasty little back-and-forth, but thought it was interesting that a few people who were less optimistic on the remaining board (MoscowGtr included) didn't seem that down on our chances with Carter.

These things work out like this sometimes: you get the kids no one expects and miss on the ones you think you have wrapped up. I remember the disappointing finish in 2012: the one big piece of good news that signing day was Dante Fowler, who seemed to firm up his commitment to FSU only a few days before.

What a DLine class that would be if Carter goes with us. Just wow!

It's already nasty, and if we were to add Carter, that would be a complete D-Line for this class full of elite talent.

You're right, it wasn't Moscow. Though, he did say that a list with Prince and Jackson on it was merely a wishlist, and when I mentioned Carter not being impossible he called it an optimistic guess that he was considering us still.

It was actually Strange who called Carter a lock to Georgia in this thread.

Agree. We already have a strong class largely meeting our needs and top 10 ranked (not that I even care about the ranking TBH).

These other guys we're in on, can really make this class special - elite play makers with AJ and Isaiah, elite OL with Prince, elite Buck with Carter, elite dual threat QB with Harris. All areas of need where elite players can contribute quickly, and really solidify the team.

If Muschamp lands Carter, this might be one of the best defensive recruiting classes of all time.

Still concerns me a little that almost all of our top commitments are on the defensive side of the ball, but if we can land Prince, McKenzie and Adoree Jackson, the offensive class is going to look pretty good too.

Who's stalking? You made an idiotic comment and I called you on it. You stated because a recruit can't choose between its two favorite schools that it wouldn't surprise you if hewent with the 3rd or 4th choice. I know, throw shit at the wall and hope it sticks right!

And I'm sorry, what's your question about how long I've been here? Is that your method. Make an insane comment, get asked about out, and then question the tenure of the poster? I believe 4 years if it matters but a two year old could've called you out on that.

Everything I remember and have found stated it was between Clemson and his beloved Gators.

And none of those three players you listed support your original claim. All three schools they chose were in there top 2.

All this because you made a statement and I questioned it? Not rudely at all I might add. We had issues once before but if I remember correctly its because you got offended once again that someone questioned what you said. Yet I'm the one stalking? Good luck trying to prove that one. You don't wanna be "stalked", don't post on a damn message board. Questions are bound to arise!

Agree for the most part but somewhere on our bench was a lot of offensive talent that was recruited last year.

From what I recall, Spiller was pretty much considered a lock. Clemson wasn't even seriously in it until the very end. I think he made a late visit, but everyone, including his mother, was very confident he'd be a Gator. I remember hearing how shocked and upset his mother was.

And I'd agree with that. Die's original comment was that he wouldn't be surprised if Carter chose lsu or fsu, his 3rd and 4th choice, instead of uga and the Gators because he just couldn't decide between the two. He also said it happens every year. I questioned that logic. Not saying surprises don't happen but just the logic he stated. Doesn't fly and didn't make any sense.

No doubt Spiller picking Clemson over us was surprising; however they were his 2nd school no matter the distance behind UF.
