..National Parks. I means seriously, NATIONAL PARKS???!!!

NPR had several segments today about national park shutdowns. Most of the shutdowns seem to be of the fake variety. All show and completely unnecessary.

Veterans of wars were initially blocked from visiting war memorials. Union thugs were hired to protest war veterans going to war monuments. Here in my own town, we have not seen a park ranger in years on the trails on which we like to hike. Yet they are shut down. We hiked them anyway. Parked in the street.

My goodness, if they told us we could shut down the government and all that would be affected is a faux show of shutting down parks, then where is the problem?

I imagine the 800,000 people not getting paid will take issue with that.
And I bet the businesses those 800,000 people support will take issue with that soon enough.

But you know, if it doesn't affect you does it really matter?

Well, since your Dems in congress, and here, think our economy is "booming" they should have no trouble finding a new job.

You guys keep touting our economy as good... so let those 800,000 people go back into the private sector workforce and find a job so that instead of living off of the tax-payers they can instead contribute to the tax-revenue that the government steals from us all.

What about the millions who are either unemployed or under-employed because of anti-business policies of the Obama Admin?

We are four plus years under his ternary and not once has he taken any responsibility for the state of the economy .at first it was Bush, then it was the ATM's, then it was an earth quake, then it was the weather, now it is the Repubs.

The far left has succeeded in channeling Saul Alinsky to marry the media to the gov't (to distort the truth and to demonize political opposition.

Don't worry. They will get paid (I put it at 99%).

Only in the government can you be told not to work and get paid...

Edit: possible disregard to the sentiment of getting paid for not working...

Good point. Maybe we don't need alot of those 800,000 federal jobs open if no one notices they're not there.

We all know what we need to know... I think. I mean, how many people do they need working there just to tell us that there's a storm in the Atlantic... possibly coming our way?

Pubs are funding each area of government by passing spending bills which is the way it has always been done. But Harry Reid wants a continuing resolution (which is all that has passed over last 5 years). They won't get it. Sooner or later, the Senate will need to pass the spending bills or Harry Reid will take the blame.

Yep, and I hope the Pubs slash some of the agencies' cash flow while they're at it.

You prove the point......there's no storm in the Atlantic threatening the US. It's in the Gulf of Mexico. Some of us along the coast could use some better information right now. We have a big high school band competition at my son's school this Saturday.

I heard that it might affect Florida's football game too. And I thought it was in the Atlantic. Hope your son gets to compete, good luck to him.

This should help alleviate your concerns. Good luck with the band competition. Will they still play on if it's raining with no lightning or do they have alternate plans for inclement weather?

Plus did u know NOAA is actually a revenue creating entity? It is free for consumers but commercially you must pay for their expertise. In a way NOAA is like PBS and Sesame Street.

The Dims like causing as much pain as possible and have their lapdogs blame it on the Pubs.

When will the American people catch on to this? Never.
