News reporting the thief of crabs is back on the criminole baseball team.
What a POS of a program!! It's been that way since Bobbi stepped on campus..
If the crab legs don't split, you must acquit!
Tell you this though... Mike Martin didn't have much say in this after Winston did his laughable "community service" to get re-instated. After the rape scandal, Martin really never wanted Winston on the team afterwards, but he has to bow to the "great one" Jameis because he's the "big man on campus".
Spent 1o hours Friday and 10 Saturday at Potbellys mentoring female students. Community and been serviced.
What a joke that craphole is.
Thanks for the inside story regarding Coach Martin and the baseball team.
At least Martin has some scruples over there.
They are tougher on shoplifting than sexual assault. Pathetic.
I hope morrison knocks his head of next year ala ej Manuel style
that will teach him you cannot beat the system. but in all seriousness, people like this can't believe they can get away with anything but it will catch up to him.
Like Martin or not he is an enabler just like jimbo and all the rest.
Sell your own things you get 5 games to a year.
Steal someone else's and you get 4 days during the off season.
Simply put, it's been said that Martin didn't want the distraction on his team. The only reason Jameis came to fsu was to play two sports and was told he could, after the rape stuff, Martin apparently voiced his concerns about the possible distractions Winston could cause on his team, but those concerns were quickly shot down. What Winston wants, Winston gets.
Interesting story... years ago back in the '90's when Martin's son Mike Jr. was still playing for him along with our local boy Jeremy Morris (who UF coach Joe Arnold basically refused to recruit for some reason because Jeremy wanted an offer from UF), Mike Jr. and Jeremy decided to go on a midnight run through a well known neighborhood here in Quincy named "Burma Heights".
Using a baseball bat with Jeremy driving, Mike Jr. managed to dent and tear up a number of mailboxes that night, but some spot-on neighbors saw them doing it. A resident got a tag number and description of the car and the rest is history... they got busted. One of the houses that got a demolished mailbox was my late older sister's and boyfriend's house.
The story I was told was that Coach Martin took the boys through the neighborhood on a Sunday afternoon a few weeks later and made the two players go to each house where they ruined the mailbox and made them apologize in person for their behavior and pay the owner for the damages, including my late sister and her boyfriend.
Perhaps not perfect, but Martin has always seemed to me to be a lot harder on the discipline angle with his players imo.
WInston better hope his Baseball draft status is high and take the money and run this summer ! His NFL draft stock is starting to take a beating and good scouts have seen that he now has 4 incidents with two being serious . They see a pattern and his draft status is dropping because they know he has a big potential for trouble and they are not going to be as willing to part with big guaranteed contract money as they once were ....
I'm shocked, I tell you, I'm shocked! Who could have seen this coming?!
Maybe they'll kick him off the team for jaywalking because it's the only way left to make sense out of it all.
The title "Crab King" is way too kind. "(Alleged) RAPIST" is more appropriate.
"Unprosecuted rapists" are what we call them in developing nations, where men are allowed by the civil authorities to get away with such things if they're important enough.
By the way, is no one going to challenge how it was Jameis Winston managed to accomplish 20 hours of community service in less than a week while being a full-time "student"? I know many people who have been assigned community service in my day, and I've never seen it adjudicated that quickly. I'm calling BS. He got his card stamped and went home, plain and simple. Another lesson unlearned.
