It's not about winning elections to me....I think I've made it clear where I'm coming from.

The GOPs persistence in controlling women's healthcare isn't supported by the majority.

'Nana I'm sorry for your experience but a doctor making what sounds like a poor decision does not justify where we are with abortions today. Having standards raised at abortion clinics is a good thing for women. Higher standards for when someone can have an abortion is better for children. Win win.

I don't believe we will ever be able to get some people responsible enough to stop having abortions but we sure don't have to make it so easy either.

This barbaric baby murdering practice needs to be ended by teaching people morals.

Tell a liberal that you are pro-abortion. Tell a lib that abortion should promoted and advertised. Watch the reaction.

Lots of women have the nerve to not vote pub. They figure why not lose a few to win some elections.

You are right, but too many have become moralphobic, with morals becoming more subjective.

When looking into the abortion debate you will find that the majority of people support them when the life of the mother is jeopardized by the pregnancy. However, they also believe in personal responsibility and don't think abortion should be used as birth control. The 20 week limit is a non issue, that's 5 months! If you know you have to make a decision, you have 3 months to make it(giving 2 months for figuring things out). Abortion is legal, it's a surgical procedure, the clinics that provide the procedure should be held to the same standards that other facilities that provide surgical procedures.

While many say this will close the facilities, I disagree, these facilities are businesses. They will have to do some things to comply with the laws, the same way many other businesses have to comply with laws. If there is a demand for these services, businesses will do what is needed, it's all about making money when you boil it all down. You would be hard pressed to find a business that hasn't had to change how they operate to comply with new laws and regulations.

It's Great to be a Florida Gator!

Here is a state of play in the 28-nation European Union:

    - AUSTRIA

Three months of a pregnancy or in case of serious health concerns for the mother or baby.

    - BELGIUM

Twelve weeks, afterwards in case of serious health concerns for the mother or baby.

    - BULGARIA

Twelve weeks, beyond that if the life of the mother is at risk, or for severe foetal malformations.

    - CROATIA

Ten weeks, thereafter for medical reasons or in case of rape.

    - THE CZECH REPUBLIC

Twelve weeks, after that in case of serious health concerns for the mother or baby or rape.

    - DENMARK

Twelve weeks. After that the abortion has to be approved by the authorities who take into account exceptional circumstances, like danger to the mother, rape, incest or suspicion of Down's Syndrome.

    - ESTONIA

Twelve weeks, and beyond that for medical reasons and/or for women younger than 15 or older than 45.

    - FINLAND

Twelve weeks. A doctor's authorisation is necessary but in practice is systematic. Beyond that health and social authorities decide on a case by case basis.

    - FRANCE

Twelve weeks, and beyond that for medical reasons.

    - GERMANY

Abortion in Germany is permitted in the first 12 weeks upon condition of mandatory counselling, during which counsellors will try to dissuade the woman. Afterwards in cases of medical necessity, but not in case of rape.

    - GREECE

Twelve weeks, beyond that for medical reasons, rape or incest.

    - HUNGARY

Twelve weeks and up to 18 weeks if the patient is younger than 18, beyond that for medical or social reasons.

    - IRELAND

Abortion is allowed in circumstances where there is a real and substantial risk to the life of the mother or where an expectant mother is a suicide risk.

    - ITALY

Twelve weeks for medical or social reasons, beyond for medical reasons only.

    - LATVIA

Twelve weeks (up to 16 in case of rape) and after that for medical reasons.

    - LITHUANIA

Twelve weeks, and beyond that on doctors' advice for medical reasons.

    - LUXEMBOURG

Twelve weeks for social and medical reasons or rape, beyond that for medical reasons.

    - MALTA

Abortion is completely banned. Women found to be having abortions face from 18 months to three years in prison.

    - NETHERLANDS

Twenty-four weeks, and beyond for medical reasons. The abortion must take place in one of the 17 abortion clinics or 92 hospitals authorised by the government.

    - POLAND

Abortion is allowed in case of rape, incest, danger to the life of the mother or the irreversible malformation of the foetus, in the first 12 weeks.

    - PORTUGAL

Ten weeks on request, and up to 16 weeks in cases of rape. 24 weeks if the child will be born with severe malformations.

    - ROMANIA

Twelve weeks, afterwards for medical reasons.

    - SLOVAKIA

Twelve weeks and beyond that for medical reasons or rape.

    - SLOVENIA

Ten weeks, thereafter for medical reasons.

    - SPAIN

Twelve weeks, beyond that for medical reasons.

    - SWEDEN

Eighteen weeks, and beyond that on the authorisation of the health and social services, usually for medical reasons.

    - UNITED KINGDOM

Twenty-four weeks, and afterwards for medical reasons. In Northern Ireland, the woman's health must be at risk.

Exactly. The pro-abortion crew has dominated the discussion for over 30 years. Now a little compromise is in the works. Good for America.

Not to worry boys and girls. Abortions will remain legal forever. But now you only have 150 days or so to make your decision and you can only get one in a registered medical facility. I think that's fair.

Abortion mills exist because it is a lucrative business. The later the abortion, the higher the price. There was a reason Gosnell likes to do late term abortions. $5000 a pop. No pun intended.

It will restrict access only if the abortion clinics do not meet new regulations. Not an impossible thing at all. But like all government regulation, it will cut into the bottom line.

Wow, I had no idea that we saved the lives of 55 million women. Because we all know only those with medical complications abort.

That's like saying WalMart will be fine once they meet a new law that mandates that each store have 23 indoor bathrooms and be 6 stories high.

It's a ludicrous workaround to close their doors permanently.

The people that oppose this law are the same that don't think anything about partial birth abortions.

THERE IS NO REASON TO WAIT TO HAVE A FREAKING ABORTION UNTIL THE FETUS WILL FEEL THE PAIN OF HIS/HER MURDER.

Abortion is a "medical" procedure without the facility requirements, even in a strict town like Philly. Liberals love to have it both ways.

    CORRUPTION RULES!!!!!
