    You talking to me?
One of the Yale film societies rushed to show "Taxi Driver" shortly after Reagan's assassination attempt and the reporting of Hinckley stalking Jodie Foster....classless!!!!

My wife was a grad student in the Yale drama school at that time—Angela Bassett, Chris Noth were her classmates. There was no undergrad theater program so Jodie hung around with the grad students. My wife says Jodie was nice, but slightly eccentric, and definitely not 100% hetero

I once started the longest thread in the history of Gator Country, based on a system, that seemed pretty accurate until it wasn't. ;):D

Great thread! I have a few......

I dated a girl who's dad was a long time football coach in Miami. One night while i was visiting, we had dinner with Angelo Dundee and his wife. I got an autograph on his card somewhere.

Not long after moving to Florida in 1970, I joined the Eastern Surfing Association and ended up 6th best in the whole state of Florida in 1A Junior Mens. That's when the entire state was one region.

I have driven on several occasions a Porsche 911 at Sebring at full speed on the full (17 turn) course - this was the first of many Porsches I have owned. I have also driven at Moroso in Palm Beach and Roebling Road near Savannah. At one time I owned 6 Porsches at the same time. Down to only 3 now - including a '64 356C sunroof coupe.

Back to surfing - I once played host to a couple of Australians and a South African when NSB was a stop on the ASP pro tour. They were the head of competition, Australian judge, and South African judge. I was renting a house by myself and had plenty of room so my friend who was the USA judge set things up. It was an experience I'll never forget!

The last year at UF ('76-'77) myself and another OH senior were given free room at a cottage at the OH greenhouse complex out on Archer Road. This is where the professors had their research works and also labs were held for the OH students. In exchange for room, we helped take care of stuff after hours and on weekends when the regular employees were off. I had occasion to take dates on a tour at night through the greenhouses but the conservatory was unbelievably cool at night! Not too many girls had that kind of experience on their dates! ;)

One more....in December 2003 I vacationed for a week at the Club Bali Hai on the Tahitian island of Moorea and while there met one of the original 'Bali Hai Boys', Don "Muk" McCallum. I also surfed there at a place I knew nothing about....paddling out by myself I had a few reservations......but it was worth the adventure to have such a great memory.

Nobody’s gonna ship you out over there, wing. Then again, we just might!
Btw - they have nice things in other countries, too. I’m in Taipei right now and would readily trade their food for ours for the rest of my days. The beer? Not so much

They have more than 300–not all available here. Depends on your taste, time of day, season. If you like something strong, Duvel, and Delierium Tremens are sold here. Hoegaarden is a nice summer beer. Chimay is very smooth (and somewhat expensive)
