Ive seen Teen Mom(2,3) but not that one...guessing it is the same thing pretty much..
My statement was based on approach Obama stated he was wanting to go for prior to his being elected the first time. Moderate Evangelical groups(even here in Florida) were receptive to working with him on areas both their religion(or group) are in agreement with Obama. And do so despite their differences. Both Obama and Evangelicals(and others) realize the best way to deal with high abortion rates is not to ban abortions(since people will go to foreign countries or use a coat hanger)---but to deal with issues that lead up to people being in a situation in which they see abortions as a reasonable solution.
Areas Obama and Evangelicals(churches and groups) found they agreed upon are such things as the following
--promoting family planning via abstinence, birth control, etc so pregnancy does not occur during a time the man and woman would be unable to devote as much time/effort, love to their child.
--drug and alcohol issues---many abortions occur when one or both parents is in active alcholism and/or addiction. The fetus may have congenital medical conditions as a result(ie-Tetralogy of Fallot, fetal alcohol syndrome, etc) and parents may choose abortion rather than have child born into the world with severe medical condition. r they bring the child into the world and the cost of raising such a child bankrupts the parents and/or becomes major medical burden on society. A far , far better way to deal with all this is to deal with drug addiction and alcoholism in America so there are fewer pregnancies among addicts/alcoholics...resulting in likelihood of fewer abortions.
Yet there are the brainless ones who believe the solution is to make abortions illegal. Whether abortions are legal or not----they will occur. The solution is to reduce the issues that underlie so many abortions. Thing is, many of those are social issues that cons and other types have difficult time comprehending.
The drop has nothing to do with abortions. In fact, every statistic I've seen shows that the abortion rate has been dropping since 2000.
Again from the CDC:
As I've explain many times on this board, the CDC is not a reliable source for abortion numbers. I believe the birth numbers are probably more accurate but government stats are often unreliable like the abortion numbers.
Old, I know you love Obama more than anything in the whole wide world, but he didn't have diddly to do with this trend. He inherited Bush's Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives and added an advisory council to it, but he is an absolute shill for Planned Parenthood. He didn't sit down with anyone and mediate anything. There isn't a bipartisan bone in his body on the issue of abortion. So...how about you stop with the rants and simmer down, Pops?
