I doubt top 5. We're sitting on 18 with an ability to take 22. I'd rather keep Powell, Robinson, and Roberson if they want to stay. At 22, the points won't get high enough for top 5. I'd say more like the 8 to 12 range depending on how we and others close out.

I could see us pulling in a top 5 class even with just 22 commits. It obviously depends on who fills in the remaining 5 or so spots and whether or not we keep Cook/Lane. But if we finish the class keeping both of them and add 5*'s Carter, Adams, Jackson, and a 4* OL and LB in Williams.

    We will see.

Looking at various sites, our average rank per recruit is somewhere between 8 and 10. We will probably have an average size class in the end -somewhere in the mid 20's, so unless we finish with some really big names I would expect us to finish somewhere in that same 8-10 range. Of course things can always change good or bad.

If we want to keep up with the Gumps and the War Beagles we should have a 25+ class.

Wow so we dropped to 15th on Rivals and Scout, 11th on 24/7

FSU is top 5 in all recruiting rankings

We have some major ground to make up and hopefully we close a few more top recruits. It's certainly not looking good if we finish ranked 15th or worse.

Hopefully Coach Roper can help with signing a few on offense. Sitting at 18 commitments now Coach Muschamp
may need to get 6 to 8 more players if one or two change their minds and flip and one to two more may leave
early. I have not heard of any more transfers so far. If Coach needs 6 to 8 more players, are they out there to commit
to UF? Does any one at GC or other Fans that can name 6 to 8 additional players that Florida has a good chance at getting come February?

We will lose both Lane and Jackson which will bring us down to 16 commits. I don't see anymore 4 star commitments but we add 4 3-star B-lister types and end up with 20 in our final class. Our final consensus ranking will be 18.

How the mighty have fallen! If we do end up losing Lane and Jackson we will end with 0 players in the top 20 from FL. FSU would have 8, Miami 4 heck UGA came in and pulled 2 and we can't get 1. This is sad we can't get any of the top players in our own freaking state.

There's a thread on the main boards talking about how Bortles was the 44th ranked QB and "How did we miss on this guy!" and there's a bevvy of posts in this thread, lamenting that the aggregate "rankings" of the players were have committed. Seems to me like you're damned if you do, and...

If I'm allowed to inform about another site (not going to link), 247 sports has a calculator that lets you input potential recruits to show the new score.

What do you expect when you're 4-8 and have a horrific offense?

It's the coach's job to get the best players regardless of stars.
Build a highly ranked team with a well rounded, deep roster, develop players and put them on the all SEC teams and no one will care how many stars anyone had.
