As expected, he was by far the best back in the game. He showed vision and cutting ability that Jones and Brown can only dream of. Despite not being a speed back he seemed much faster than other backs, maybe because his acceleration was a lot better. Also he actually broke tackles which is something our current starters rarely do despite their size. Taylor is the real deal. Did our run block ability really drop that much compared to last season? Or did our RB play drop? They blocked fine with Taylor in. Other thoughts: Our pass blocking was awful. We need to sell recruits instant playing time because honestly that's what is there for them. Also our play calling was once again predictable and befuddling. Why not roll Murphy out to counter the pressure? Why not do more slants?
