not for THFSG...start another one there for bitching and moaning...but for those you who WERE involved...

Word of Advice...if you shopped at Target recently...should get a new credit card...ASAP...same thing happened at Sweet Bay a few years back to me...had used 2 different cards...I didn't worry...and card companies canceled w/out notice several weeks later...whilst I was out of gas at gas pump of all places...spent hours trying to straighten out...I was the one treated like a criminal....never got a legit answer...finally got replacement cards...after 4 weeks....long story short...call and get new cards w/NEW #'s...be pro-active...they'll cancel all 40 million #'s...sooner or later...beat the rush...and you'll get them much faster if you do it now...and save yourself some anger...just my 2 cents worth...1943 copper that is!

This is bad news. Thankfully I haven't used my target card in six months.

I feel so bad for all that have problems because of this. I've had my credit card breached a couple of times and had to change account numbers. Both times the credit card companies were pretty easy to work with (Chase and Discover)

I really feel for the debit card users…..items are bouncing because of this so there are all kinds of fees involved with the creditors…..

Hackers got card information off the swipers at Target over a two week period. I think it was from Nov. 27-Dec. 15. I shopped there on the 16th so I checked but my card seems to be fine.

Visa came out with a statement saying that the fraud department is catching most activity and canceling cards before money is removed or items purchased. I had my card skimmed a month or so ago and only found out after $1000 was taken out of my account. It was all replaced but it still sucked dealing with it. Thankfully, I seem to not be effected by this Target thing.

I dont think this was limited to the Target credit card. I think it applies to all credit cards used at Target

Yup anyone who swiped a debit or credit card at a Target store in America could have been effected. My bank just notified me that they are issuing me a new card even though I thought I was in the clear.
