Suck this year!!!!! Their bullpen is horrible, starting pitching is only going so deep, and Maddon is making lots of stupid calls with his "innovative" lineups. I love Maddon but for the love of God leave the same damn lineup two days in a row!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm going crazy!!!! Aaaaaaahhhhhh!!!!! Someone give me some Xanax!!!!!!!!!!!!

Somewhat predictable given some of the player losses in the offseason, tho a few Rays fans around these parts didn't want to believe it. Still early in the season and a lot of teams would love to have the Rays coach.

And yea, there is a baseball forum.

Yea I don't have time to go sifting around to find the baseball forum...

Never said I didn't want Joe I want him but the team can not build chemistry right now.

at least tampa is better than the lowly marlins, who may be the worst major league team in 30 years

A guy bet me $100 that the Rays, Orioles, and Blue Jays would ALL finish ahead of BOTH the Red Sox and Yankees. I gave him several outs (no pun intended) and he still took the bet - sober. My wife said "you should bet him - he can't afford to lose $100" to which I replied "now, perhaps we know why."

Taking my daughter (graduating from Emerson College in Boston) to the Red Sox game Friday night at Fenway. "Sweet Caroline...bum, bum, bum....good times...." Go Sox!

Way to set the bar high. The Marlins are a mlb team in name only.

I'm trying! But every season it's the bullpen that's always holding from start to finish along with starting pitching... Right now we have Matt Moore and Alex Cobb being consistent that's it.!

Still early, of course. The Sox are playing slightly above their talent level and the Yankees a lot above their current talent level. Baltimore's about where I'd expect them and well, Toronto sucks.

I'd say the division ends up somewhere around:

    Boston 92-70
    Baltimore 90-72
    Tampa Bay 84-78
    Yankees 80-82
    Toronto 75-87

The Rays beat the Padres tonight 8-7. Evan Longoria hit a 2 run HR in the bottom of the 9th to get the win. Rays are now above .500

That's great to hear. I was so into the Gator softball game that I missed it. Guess I'll check the shortened replay or hilights knowing that it was good.

Rays have won 6 in a row, are 4.5 back from 1st, and just 1.5 from the Red Sox for the last WC spot. I like our chances against the old guard as this non-PED era of baseball tends to favor the young bucks over the long season...
