Apparently DJ Stewart has been suspended for 4 games. Probably going to be without Powers, Shafer and Young for the LSU series.

What did Young do? He got run over. He did not punch or grab anyone. Why would he be suspended?

Still trying to figure out why Young was ejected. After getting run over he got up slowly by himself without talking to anyone. Then, he hung out on the outskirts of everything. Not quite sure what the umps saw, but hopefully the video review will clear him.

Are we sure he wasn't just taken out because of the collision? I never actually saw that he was formally tossed...but may have missed it.

They said on the tv broadcast he was ejected. The umps just decided to get rid of all the principles. Seems unnecessary and a copout to me, but then again I'm the only one who doesn't seem to think this was that big a deal, so .

Powers was suspended for 4 games (like Stewart).
Both were suspended for their part *after* the play.
Young was ejected, but it's not entirely clear why.

Stewart should be suspended. Young was getting the ball and got purposely speared by Stewart.

This was the second incident with Powers. He deserved the 4 games

Stewart veered inside the line only as he approached Young, going out of his way and out of the basepath to initiate a collision. Then he kicked the ball during the collision. How he got called safe after all that, I have no idea.

It's baseball it happens. Powers was wrong and so was Stewart. Young should not have been. Ejected

Exactly. Also, Young had nothing to do with it, he was going for all ball and stayed back afterwards.

The announcer at :47 seconds of the video, says ' Stewart had no place to run'. You can see clearly that Stewart, rather running straight, veered left to Young, and what looks like Young saw Stewart coming straight at him and dropped the ball upon the hit. The SOW bench should have gotten suspended too, clear across the other side of the field.

Powers had no right going up to Stewart to defend his pitcher, all he did was provoke Stewart to hitting Powers. At least he did it with words and not hitting Stewart. Our bench didn't clear till everyone else was near the pitcher's mound, but still not right.
