No. Zook's issues weren't correctable. He was a cluster when it came to game management. He wasn't able to win with a Heisman runner up QB. He found ways to lose games.

I knew this year would be rough when we lost Driskel.

He is a very nice man but he's done absolutely nothing to deserve the blind faith he is getting from this board. Most could see last year the 11-2 was not an accurate reflection of the progress being made. That has become abundantly clear now. We have this pipe dream that he is going to make us Bama if he gets another year or two. Based on what exactly? That is makes us feel good to believe it? He lived off an abundance of NFL defensive talent left by Urban. Even the excuse making machine that is this board doesn't explain why he should get another year. At most it explains his failures, but it doesn't express what it is about him that makes him fit for one of the top coaching jobs in the country. The explanation of a negative doesn't prove the positive. This is the Zook situation all over again. This board jumped on anyone that questioned Zook's abilities right up to the MSU fiasco. It was obvious after year two Zook wasn't the man for the job but we had to go through an extra year to make it obvious to even those with blind faith. My guess that is what the next year will bring us.

Driskel was not the savior dude. He threw a pick 6 just before he went down for the year.

Zook wasn't a good head coach. Zook didn't hire good assistants. Zook was hired to keep the recruiting pipeline going until a coach could be found because no one wanted to follow Spurrier.

Agree...next year will just prove what the rational crowd (in my opinion) already knows...Muschamp is not head coach material...at least not at Florida.

And like you, I have no idea what he's done to deserve the blind faith.

Did I say he was? He is efficient enough to win games. Murphy has rocketed back to Earth.

He came to Auburn and turned them from worse than #100 in total Offense to #10 in total Offense in his first year. He did that before Cam Newton ever got there for those who want to falsely claim it was all him.

Now he comes back and takes over a 3-8 team and they suddenly look light years better in his first season.

I'm liking the ole miss hc. The guy can recruit and if you can win at ole miss that says a lot. The guy knows offense and I hope JF has him on his short list. I've moved on from WM.

Who knows...he sure wasn't efficient enough to beat Miami and his start against Tennessee was ..let's say...efficient for the Volunteers.

This is nonsense. The Heisman Runnerup lost the games because he called FnG plays behind the OC's back. That isn't on Zook. neither is the Swindle or the Robbery at Rocky Top.

And Muschamp is? He's every bit as bad as Zook is. Muschamp is a far more disappointing hire than Zook was, since so many people didn't think Zook should've been hired to start with, but those same people thought Muschamp was a great hire.

Gotta agree here. Muschamp was far better received at Florida than Zooker was.

    It has come to thus.

When we reach the point that the discussion becomes is the present coach quite as bad as Zook, it's time to make a change.

I agree the Swindle and RRT weren't on him. Calling a timeout before the half against Tennessee in 2003? LSU in 2004?

No one ever gave Zook a chance anyway.

Our 3 losses this year are all on the road to teams that are a combined 17-2. Today was awful, and if Muschamp is canned after 2014 will be a key date in his decline, but it's all correctable, and he's a solid in game coach.
