I’m expecting this guy to make a big leap this offseason. ^^
Physically challenged people are not trying to lose weight generally. Their mobility is limited but they maintain weight. The issue was not whether Stokes could maintain weight by not exercising or running but whether he could lose it.
Running is the Easiest way to lose weight due to the Joules you expend = Calorie Expenditure. Among the few things that are better than running and that use more Joules are (1) Running Uphill, (2) Climbing fast or (3) Running with a 7o lb backpack on (uphill is best).
Of course, the Knee needs a lot of strength work to handle a lot of running, but I'm sure since he's working with UF's rehab specialists they are well aware that hard physical effort is the best way to strengthen damaged pieces of your body (except for Teeth).
I'm hoping, if both are healthy and fit, that both Johnson and Stokes are going to prove very valuable to this team because their basketball skills are outstanding.
Watt hour does Joule play?
Nice one Fox. Watts are more commonly known than Joules, as you know, although few, other than engineers, know what either of those terms mean. Much like the term Faggot, which means a Bundle of Sticks.
HIIT training with or without weights is just as efficient if not better than running for fat loss...
Yes antny, any type of training regimen is better than no training, and having dealt with Scholarship Athletes for 30 years at USF, I can tell you that all of them are essentially slaves who work their bodies and minds very, very hard. Almost bordering on Illegally hard, and almost 12 months of the year to boot. So, if a kid is overweight, that only can occur due to a body phenomena.
Yes and no. Given this coaching regime I would say that his weight struggles are more to do with his body composition, metabolism etc and not lack of guidance like our football team these past 3 years. But there is a homework component and if someone isn't doing it they will obviously hinder any progress.
My only point was running is not the only way or even the most efficient way to lose weight bum leg and all.
