Then we need to lower the walfare payments to these people.

Question: How do people qualify for welfare? What's the criteria?

Or you could raise the minimum wage.

Govt has made it soooo easy to get on welfare and yes its to create govt. dependency. Again, hate to beat a dead horse but this nation is in total decline and I don't see an end to it. We can overcome bad presidents but when ignorant and dependent people vote such leaders in you can't overcome stupid.

it's easier to live on min wage because of all the assistance that you get from the government than it is to be at 25k/year.

why in the world would these people want to make a better wage? it's easier to do what they're doing than it is to better themselves

    Yeah that will help.

For about 60 days until prices go up accordingly.

These people do want to work....they're the former working poor. They're are those that suffer the worst in these kinds of times. For many, their jobs have disappeared forever or they're victims of a shrinking labor market and lower wages.

For the many who support higher profits and lower wages, this is the result....more and more people needing safety net assistance programs.

Producing knowledge through research and facilitating that knowledge through teaching and consulting is valuable, and it's something I work extremely hard at doing well. And contrary to your uninformed comments, I actually work with the poor and those on welfare in a place that has plenty of them, to include working with them to find gainful employment and get their lives in order as I have for years.

So while it may be easy to hypothesize, generally speaking, some hypotheses--such as the one I pointed out earlier--are ill informed nonsense.

There are PLENTY of people out there that just want the "check". Some families pool their "checks" and do quite well. They don't want no stinking jobs.
