Top Phillips Wilson Cook Bottom Lane
When was this taken?
tonight at the Central vs U school game
Hopefully these kids are committed to getting UF back to the top regardless of who the coach is (wishful thinking).
That's good news. We need to lock these kids in however it maybe.
These guys will be foundational players for the next coach.
No doubt. They are a tremendous core group.
The foundation is in the class of 2013. Nearly every guy could end up in the NFL
Did they put their clothes on after the loss?
There's more offensive talent in this class than there's been in a Florida class in a long time. It's critical we keep it intact regardless of what the coaching situation is long-term.
Grier, Lane, Goolsby and Cook plus Taylor, Fulwood, and Robinson with wildcards like Adam Lane, Kent Taylor, and Showers thrown in is championship caliber with the right coaching and player development. If we only had a line.
And a scheme with full playbook.
I wish Pease would have watched Bama/LSU last night and copied 5 plays from each team. Both teams have some simple plays that are just hard to defend. All we have to do is draw it up, teach it, call it in games.
I hear a song from, "The Wizard Of Oz"....
So....you're entirely sold that there is NO way that Muschamp can turn it around, huh? Yesterday did it for you?
Actually, I'm not sure that Muschamp can't turn things around, but I don't think he will be given time to.
I don't think you can ever be sure that a guy can or can't right the ship.
I think the biggest question is, does he deserve the time to right the ship after yesterday?
I think he does.
Last season was one of the better coaching jobs in recent Gator history. I know it's being offset by the mess we're in right now, but people who understand the game know that there are various factors involved with what's happening.
He did a great job last season, has had to deal with a mess this year, and I think he deserves the right to lead the players he's recruited for the last four years onto the field for a fourth season.
I'll say this, though: we need to get Cook on campus. Lane and Grier are important, but I think Cook provides instant fireworks the minute he arrives. He is the single most important player up to this point for Will Muschamp in four years of recruiting.
Oh the plays we'd be calling...
And the bombs they would be falling....
...if we only had a line....
Its easy to coach players who have NFL talent. 8 guys drafted from last year, and a handful more signed as free agents. If Muschamp gets another year, do you think there will be 4 Juniors get drafted? Look at today's sophomores and tell me who.
