Which DB missed like 3 solo tackles?
He is the best on the team, that's what I see, purifoy misses way too many tackles, this kid has amazing form and technique. Roberson is very do as well but I would rank vh3 at the top
Not saying he is not better than Roberson but I dont know how one could tell that from the small sample size. I would actually like to here more on why you think that
It's a small sample size, it's all I have, I also do not believe in coincidences, two interceptions, the other 3 combined 0. Kid just has perfect technique and is obviously athletic enough, not sure he is purifoy athletic but way better technique. Roberson is my number 2, followed by Watkins then purifoy, I. Ant stand missed tackles.
I guess Jones and Burton's fumbles don't count? There is plenty of blame to go around for that game, Driskel and the coaches included, but to say any one player lost that game is absurd. And to sit Jeff with no viable QB to go to going into the UT game would be stupid.
Driskel had a bad day as did many other offensive players, he is not going to see the pine, it happens, lets hope he learns from it and gets better
Are you sure you're not selling someone short? What we need most is D1 presence and decision making. Do we really know nobody on the roster has that ability?
JD looks way better on that count at times this year. But doesn't seem to in pressure situations. I think he may need some counseling on embracing and attacking pressure situations.
He's still the deer in headlights at those times. We need him to become the hunter.
This is why I had my doubts about him, does not seem to have that burning competitive fire, hope I was wrong
This is a pretty good way of putting it. And I guess that's on the staff, ultimately. But how much of that is just bad luck? I wonder.
All I know is, Saban is pretty good at finding guys with the right mental makeup to play QB for his system. I think by now his scouting process is much more profound than just watching a guy throw the ball.
What? Mccarron was 2009 class. Saban has been at Bama since 2007.
Brantley had that same issue
Ah yeah, it's the most important position to look at intangibles but for each position it is crucial, some guys know what the are looking at some don't, hope champ has the eye.
