@CJonesScout: RT @APMarkLong Hearing Gators also likely to lose QBs Max Staver & Skyler Mornhinweg to transfer. Would make sense with Grier coming

Best of luck to them. They were depth guys. No real loss. It only opens up spots.

damn, thats crazy.. But the chances all 3 QB's better than them get hurt next year is pretty small so they wouldn't see any time anyway. Probably ever.

Hell, FSU's second string is transferring.

But when Driskel and Murphy get hurt, they are all you have.

My guess is the staff was disappointed with their lack of development. Question is why did they recruit them to begin with?

They will NOT be all that we have. Driskel, Murphy and Grier are enough.

Was going to be very hard to get a QB after Jeff and Jacoby in the same class. No excuse for the Staver recruitment they missed on about 12 kids before him

Not only can WM not coach an O, he can't spot talent either on that side of the ball.

Saw one NFL game where a team lost two QB's in two snaps in a row. They had to put in the punter and activated QB number 3 at halftime. The depth chart has to have QB's beyond what we will have left.

As we see, it is only the side of the ball that was used as the excuse, leaving.

I thought Grier was going to redshirt? Who will be 3rd string?

Barring an absolute freak season, you don't play your third string QB anyways.

Grier redshirts, and in the event that we lose both QBs ahead of him on the depth chart, we have to burn his redshirt and he plays. Fairly typical roster management at that position.

Staff misses too often. It must be their evaluations.

There are probably 15 players left from our 2011 and 2012 classes. It looks like we miss a lot, too much to field a talented two deep.

Driskel/Murphy/Wilkes. RS Grier unless it's an emergency. I'm good with that.

Remember we have Jacob Guy as well who is a preferred walk on. I don't see how he could be any worse than Skyler and Staver.

I see the hits are all on the D side of the ball... and all the transfers are on the other.

    John,

Brian Mitchell had to play QB after Vick and the other QB was injured. It was called the body bag game.

Tom Tupa in another game had to play as he was the second string guy and they activated Rich Mirer at halftime due to NFL rules. Tupa who wasn't supposed to play QB, threw a td while Mirer stunk up the second half.

Only on GC would posters complain about the dream scenario of a 4th and 5th string qb transferring when we are in dire need of scholarships and better talent.

Not turning this in a blame pease thread, but wasn't qb recruiting his primary recruiting responsibility? Didn't Mornhingweg come hear to learn under pease?

To the nfl game with qbs going down, I remember many years ago the bengals were down to like their 4th string qb and Willie Jackson was up next if the other guy had gone down
