If you think that sounds crazy, how about putting someone in the game that has never played a snap. In the first quarter of the UT game to play QB. And while you want to point at the receivers causing UF not to score you leave out not tossing the ball in the stands and instead throw it into 5 on 1 coverage.

That's a zing? Maybe if you are super touchy.

It's amazing to me how some posters hang on every word coach spurrier says. ""Spurrier zings Champ?" Lol Every week, it's another spurrier thread. Anyone thinking that was a zing, is really reaching, IMO. Spurrier has no hate or disdain for muschamp, why would he "zing" him? It's like some of you are looking for something that's not there. I bet if I took a poll on who should be our coach (Boom/SOS) next season, a good amount would say Spurrier. I truly believe that.

And why not?? SOS is a great coach and Gator. He has brought so much to this program and tells the truth to a fault. I will always appreciate what SOS has brought to this program and still love him as a Gator. Even when he is kicking our ass, it is hard not to love him. You cannot say that about many people. Can't wait to see the day he walks back into the Swamp wearing Orange and Blue. Maybe showing up as Mr. 2 Bits someday.

He is still a god at Florida. He was great for us in the sixties as a player and was a great coach in the 1990s, but for today's game, I'm happy with Boom. Florida is bigger than any single coach...

Yep - two plays after Reed was wide open for a TD and Driskel didn't notice him

what are you talking about in the first part? You totally missed the point in the 2nd part. UF winning the game against Miami would have not been a miracle

I have always thought that a lot of the "zings" people (not just UF fans) find by SOS are in fact nothing at all. He had some really witty and classic lines he gave at booster functions back in the day and has definitely taken some witty shots at other schools and coaches in the media. But one thing about those SOS shots, they are not hidden, they are not veiled. If he is trying to take a shot, you know it. If you have to think more than once about whether he's taking a shot at someone, chances are he's not taking a shot. He doesn't mince words. To be clear on my opinion: This quote of his is not in any way a shot at Muschamp or any UF coach.

Spurrier will let a walkon play if he can get the job done, at UF, we have 2 backs that are just doing a average job, and 2 backs riding the pine with no hope of playing until one goes down, I have always respected SOS.

You guys are still in love with the SOS of the 90's. He doesn't say anything about an opponent that is meant to build him up. This was a remark aimed directly at CWM.

He's got a circus going in his backyard with the Clown Man that he needs to be concerned with.

I get your point but your facts are off.

USCe was ranked #2 in 1984 under Joe Morrison. They were poised to go to #1 before an inexplicable loss to Navy. They had some solid teams in the 80s.

Also- USC and UF played for the SEC East title in 2000 with the winner going to ATL. They were close in 2001. If they had beat us and we had beat UT then they would have gone to ATL that year too.
