Gators pushed across two runs in the bottom of the 7th and held on for a cold, rainy, 4-2 victory.

Enjoyed the game, don't get to see very many of them up here. Cold and rainy really doesn't do the weather justice although the rain held out for the most part until around the 6 to7th inning. The combination of the two made it tough but pretty good crowd even at that. Thought Rhodes looked good in relief and Gushue crushed one just foul down the RF line....fun game!

    We were there.

Yes, it was cold. Yes, it was wet. Yes, it was windy and uncomfortable. But, we enjoyed it and had a great family outing. It was great to be with GatorNation in NW Florida. If you got scared of the cold rain and stayed home instead, you missed out.

Announced attendance in that bad weather - 4,720. From comments, most were Gator fans. The stadium holds 5,500 so it wasn't quite a sellout, but good for the weather.

Next year, move the game back a week. The first week of March can be cool and rainy. By this weekend, Pensacola will be a beautiful 70 and 50s.

Not a Pensacola guy but the fans out there need to be rewarded with a basketball and baseball game every year. They are in Florida although most of them claim to be LA and hang on to Bama as their team. Get some orange and Blue gator love in the city JF

Ticket sells were 4720 but not that many in the stands, weather kept some at home, I would guess around 3000+ showed up. Like Raid said, if you didn't come because of the weather you missed out. Beautiful ball park, very fun evironment an entertaining game....especially with a Gator win!

Pensacola backs 4 programs, UF/FSU/bama/AU, but there are more Gators than the others.

I had six tickets, but only used three. Half my group chickened out due to cold and approaching rain. They had an excuse/alternative......watching the Gator basketball game on television in a warmer and dryer environment.

I'm 60 years old and a life long resident of Pensacola. If anyone would know, it's me.

Your comment about feeling Pensacola isn't in the state is typical of just about all areas of the state outside of northwest Florida. We are more southern than the rest of the state. It's not a bad thing as we are better than the rest of the state in every way. (G)

I respect your opinion because you live it. Never said it was bad. I would love to live over there. Yea , probably another myth we hear on the East coast.

Over the years, I've found that an awful lot of people living in central and south Florida don't even realize that Pensacola is in the central time zone.

Used to live there. 3 of 4 children born there. More Gators than anything, though the Bammers make the most noise.
