Love the OBC. Watched some of the show on youtube. Pretty funny. Can't say I blame him after the UCF game. I'd have been right along beside him.

Asked if that was due to fatigue, Spurrier said, “I guess so.”

When asked if he was impaired in any way, he said, “I hope not.”

When asked if he had been drinking afterthe game, Spurrier replied, “Whether or not I have a few beers after every game for the past 29 years I don’t think I need to get into all that. Most coaches that I know we probably do have a few beers after ballgames after building up all week and so forth. But that was a draining day and I got too negative. I don’t like being that negative after a victory.”

I love the OBC, but I hope he has to drown his sorrows and stumble his way to the post game after ours.

Spurrier should hang it up & play golf fulltime-he has millions--he'll never win a title at usc

He's already been dubbed "Steve Slurrier" on the interwebz over this incident.

Honestly, its not big deal. So what if he did get a little sozzled after a ballgame? That would make him no different from the rest of us.

Its no big deal. I agree.

I like SOS in a sneaky way. He is making it hard for me to root against him. Then again, he is in the SEC and he plays Clemson so, in some cases, it isn't hard at all to root against him. I like the fact that he doesn't give cliché BS answers to everything. That, however, doesn't give him a license to be an a-hole and that is exactly what he is when he tries to belittle his opponents. It is childish.

A year or two back, Dabo had a perfect answer about how he respects SOS and USCe but competes hard against them without being an a-hole like SOS sometimes allows himself to be. I agree with swampmaster though .... he'll never win another SEC title. Gotta admit that makes me happy. If he did win one he would be unbearable he is not a good winner.

OBC had two weeks to prepare for UCF and they came out, let the qb throw for 350+ yards, two td's and won by a field goal.

Won't be long until he realizes the he doesn't have a qb now, or in the forseeable future that will win him an SEC.

Steve Slurrier? Sounds like the Georgia fans are at it again! Of course, I didn't see the clip so maybe SOS deserved it! If my team almost blew the game to UCF, I'd be drinking heavily too!

Ha ha. "Are you impaired? I hope not." That's funny right there. Got to love a guy who gets pie eyed before doing a tv show, and doesn't give a crap who knows it.

He sounded more hoarse and exhausted than someone who had been drinking. Much ado about zip.

His problems have nothing to do with offense. Now the defense is a different animal altogether.

Well, it'd make him different from me in that he waited until after the game.

Dylan Thompson had a good game, as did RB Mike Davis. What hurt them, uncharacteristically, was their defense, the STRENGTH of the team. They have issues on defense this year...

I helped out in operations when I was a student at UF. Checked out his office after hours once -- beers and chocolate -- only thing in his fridge.
