    This was in 2010 when the bill was being crafted. Has nothing to do with the sequester.

    Dems at the time took a lot of sh** for allowing pubs to help craft a bill they had no intention of voting for.

    Can't find anything on gang of eight related to ACA or Obamacare. Maybe the regime had google wipe all links to it since the exchanges are blowing up?

    This sounds all fine and well, but Justice Roberts already called it a "tax," not a revenue.

    Whether it is a "tax" or not is irrelevant to the origination clause question. The origination clause refers to revenue, not tax.

    All Bills for raising Revenue shall originate in the House of Representatives; but the Senate may propose or concur with Amendments as on other Bills.

    In any case, the Supreme Court has never struck down a bill for violating the origination clause, and it has a House bill number anyways which seems to be all it takes to prove, for purposes of a legal challenge, that the origination clause is satisfied.

    Really? Try that the ideas for the ACA actually come from the Heritage Foundation.
