I've watched the Gator games plus a few others.

These women calling the games are AWFUL. The lead broadcasters seem to have little knowledge of the game and little sense of what is going on out in the field.
(Chick in Gator game just shrieked "hard hit ball!!" on a pop up behind the plate.) Studio commentators and broadcasters at Gator game openly rooting for UAB.
This is painful to watch. ESPN could at least hire some professionals to do these games instead of running these amateurs out there,

End of the game, they totally missed the GREAT play Kelsey made. Diving stop keeps the ball from going to the outfield to tie the game and alert throw FROM HER KNEES to gun down the runner at the plate. BIG TIME PLAY.

Great point. Also, UAB coach shouldn't escape being questioned by the commentators. Replay showed she had time to hold the runner and didn't. She either froze or was hoping Stewart wouldn't have the awareness to throw home.

Today, on Haegar's walk to lead off the second, they didn't realize it was high, hit the top of the catchers glove and went to the backstop. They somehow thought it was a foul ball, then perhaps a hit by pitch. They had no clue. Yesterday, they couldn't figure out that the pop up lost in the sun never got close to hitting a fielder, then rolled foul in the infield. They sat there confused until some ESPN intern told them what happened. They called at least a dozen weakly hit pop flys "hard hit balls". They pretty much stank.

I was saying the same thing to my wife yesterday. Hard hit ball was said on any ball hit. They said a play made by the left fielder was made by Brianna Little. A little hard to mess that up since Brianna is African American. Plus they wouldn't shut up - just gushed trivia all game but was unable to talk ball.

I'm in Mexico City, and all my ESPN channels and streams are "deportes", and I didn't get to watch any of the super regional games. I had to listen to the Gator audio feed via GatorVision.

It sounds like the announcers were really bad and the studio commentators were biased, but what else is new? However, I would gladly have watched the ESPN video and utilized my faithful "Mute" button on my remote to silence the ESPN bimbos and listened to the GatorVision audio feed, also with my finger on the remote to silence Megan Bush when she began to babble as I did while just listening today.

Thanks Gboro. I thought she was pretty good the last few times she did the games I watched.

that was pretty comical - every hit was 'hard hit'...even pop ups.

Wouldn't know, I was there! I think one of them is the lefty, old school pitcher that won gold medals. She's actually pretty good, IMO. The other, no clue about her.

Kempf is good and provides great analysis, but the main woman calling the game was really bad.

They were pretty bad, and they've been bad the last few years I've watched UF in the WCWS. And that's a problem, as there's a lot to explain to the audience, because the umpires are uniformly awful as well.

You are thinking of Michele Smith who is the lefty pitcher with the gold medals. She wasn't doing the Gainesville SR. Cheri Kempf who is the commissioner of the pro fast pitch league was the color commentator this weekend. The play by play was Jeanne Zelasko who used to be the host of the MLB Fox Baseball studio show and also worked for Fox on NASCAR. Zelasko hasn't been on air in quite some time. Don't know where ESPN dug her up from.

The absolute worst is Beth Mowins. (Think I have that right). When you listen to her, you actually get the impression that she is not watching the game. You can't connect
a lot of what she says with the game. And, her analyst has two Olympic gold medals; Beth passes on that info at least 40-50 time a game. Even the analyst (Smith?) looks like she is cringing after about the 20th time.
