Giving up home field in the playoffs? HUH? SAY WHAT?

And against Duke or N. Carolina which almost aways knocks out UF anyway.

Must have been some good Gville Green going around. :smoke:

I wonder if that home field meant that much to Duke. They were supported
    by a "crowd" of 853.

And, we've played and lost the last three years at home.

    I don't know.

Becky has been coaching this game (well) for a long time. I have to believe she
she knows what she is doing.

When you have opportunities to play at home you do it no matter if you have lost your last 8 billion post season home games. I think in terms of post season results the soccer program has become stagnant.

I was there standing right at the fence behind the UF bench. I thought UF outplayed Duke for much of the game, but they played tentative. I must have heard Vic Campbell yell at them to "move forward!" about 100 times. Begic was a liability - to quote a line once written about Wambach, she trundled around out there like a siege tower.

There were a lot of UF fans there and they made more noise than the Duke fans. I don't think the home field thing made much of a difference.

It was just a weird match - UF dominated the last 25 min or so, but made really silly mistakes at the worst times and just couldn't get the ball in the net.

Finally, two of the team's trainers chew more chaw than possibly all of our male coaches combined. It was ... odd.

Holes lost in the championship game to UCLA. I believe this was their 7th College Cup. Meanwhile Burleigh hasn't done jack since 2001. Way past her expiration date at UF.
