Honestly, do what other people have suggested by donating to the academic department. I'm going to be a Gator until I die, but being a Gator doesn't require me to go to the football games. We have many great athletic programs that I can pay to go see or enjoy, so I don't have to go to our football games and neither do you.

renew, or don't renew, just don't be a drama queen about it after a bad season.

at some point you won't be missed, if you ever are missed.

If you have to tell somebody about your decision make it your facebook "friends."

So you see improvement for 2014? Or 6-6 at best?

You should change locations. Now you can get seats in the upper half of the sideline instead of being up in the endzone for pretty much the same contribution...

Did that for this season, have long had 2 great seats in the west stands and 2 in the SEZ, this year got the EZ seats moved into the west stands in sec 17. May get them even closer to my seats in sec 13 next year.

I'd say if you are conflicted enough to start a thread about it, then you probably should not renew.

Stay home and watch on TV. Donate all the money you would have spent to help feed the hungry.

Will the games still be on free TV given that the SEC network goes live in fall 2014? I have no idea what a subscription to the SEC network will cost, but perhaps paying the ticket price won't e much more than the cost of the SEC network.

Because when we are back on top you can say with pride that you never abandoned your team.

It'll undoubtedly be cheaper than season tickets

You can still be a Gator fan and not want to pay to see the current product on the field. There are plenty of other sports and events to watch.

Not wanting to support Muschamp does not equal "fair weather fan" anymore than thinking any position at UF would be better held by someone else. Would I be a bad fan I didn't want to watch lacrosse because I thought the coach was horrible (I don't) or if I didn't support the director of the Fine Arts Department and didn't want to attend some of his events (He is actually a great guy, just an example)?

I would expect the SEC network to be a part of a current package offered by cable and satellite providers. I don't think we'll be charged ala carte for it.

Besides being a dyed-in-the-wool fan and can't help yourself, the only real reason to renew season tickets is because you have traded up seats through the years to where you are where you want to sit. Getting out of line means going back to something else.

This is more in line with a pro team move, but I always thought the best way of both showing support and disdain for the product on the field is to buy the tickets, do your usual pre-game stuff, go sit in your seats for the beginning, cheer the team, band, etc., cheer for the kickoff, and then...walk out in mass and finish your gameday in the parking lot. No one, and I mean NO ONE, will mistake what that means. And it tells your players you are for them but not their coach.

And as an aside, I agree with Dooley when he thought that the number of people in the stands cheering for FSU was the wrong way for our fans' handling their tickets. I expected to see a pretty empty place with some FSU interspersed but not as many as there appeared to be. JMHO

If your children are not very good athletes or poor dancers or musicians you attend their performances and games anyway because you love them and want to support them, even if the product is not very good.

Becuase you’re either a Gator or not. They’ve given you more good then bad since 1994 and you bail aftter a bad season? I didn’t read your post, only your title and that was all I’m commenting on.

College sports team != ones own children.

Unless those children are playing on the team.
