So now, does the 1 loss SEC go over an undefeated ACC or BIG 10?

Missouri will be 2, plus they beat 8 or 9 win TAMU and 8 win UGA. 7/8 win Ole Miss as well.

I said it to all the half-breed Noles sitting near me today and I'll say it here.....there are 5 or 6 teams in the SEC that could beat OSU or FSU - Aub, Ala, LSU, TAM, Mizzou, and USCe. If FSU and OSU are in the BCS championship game, it will be a true travesty.

We're talking about regular season games. You count the conference championship games, FSU will play Duke, which won its 10th game as well. That makes two. If USCe wins tonight (a BIG if), then Auburn will also have two 10-win teams to play, and if they lose to USCe, neither team will go to the big game over an undefeated team.

Even if Auburn wins, they don't beat out a storied program like Ohio State, with a coach that has yet to lose a game with the Bucknuts...

    That is a pipe dream.

So? TAMU goes 9-3 with a win over Mizzou, which is the same as Ohio State's win over Wisconsin and FSU's win over Miami. Their win over 8-win Georgia equals OSU's win over 8-win Iowa and FSU's win over 7-5 Boston College, who barely lost to Syracuse.

Go down the line and you will see that the schedules are not so start to place a 1-win SEC team over an undefeated BiG and/or ACC team. If Auburn had their record playing last year's Mizzou team, that is a different story.

We'll see. I don't see it. Auburn's schedule is not really any better than OSUs or FSUs.

Herbstreit will be lobbying hard for OSU over the SEC champ.

Ohio State is playing 11-1 Michigan State next week.

Depending on what happens tonight with games going on right now, Auburn will be playing 11-1 Mizzou, or 10-2 or 9-3 South Carolina.

No. OSU will play Michigan state, so that is one. That is not enough to jump a 1-loss team over an unbeaten team from an AQ conference.

    For real.

Well, I couldn't care less about the SEC and I have no problem with Meyer. But I know I am in the minority here.

I think MSU wins, but if they don't it's OSU and FSU in the Meteor Bowl. And to be honest, it should be.

Except Auburn just beat #1 Alabama and if they win the SECCG, they will have beaten another Top 10 team. I think they will have the edge over OSU, who did not look that impressive today. MSU will hopefully beat OSU next week and end the debate.

This. I've been watching and betting on the Spartans all season. They will ball control and intimidate OSU.

Yes, the two best teams with crappy schedules should always play for the title.

    Bring on the play-offs!!!

tosu hasn't played a ranked team all year. They don't belong. It should be FSU, yes they deserve to be there, and the SEC champion.

So? if OSU beats Michigan State, that is 2 versus one. Not enough to make a difference. Admittedly, OSU played some hideous teams (Cal and Purdue each have only one win), plus Florida A&M. But Auburn also played a bunch of mediocre teams. Simply don't think it would be enough to jump them, regardless what they did with Bama.
