so do Repubicans such as cited in the 2nd post. Why limit criticism to just Dems when both parties are to blame?

FYI, the military generals just proposed further reductions in hazard pay for 2014.

Cool story. We all want the government to do only what we want it to do.

They are suppose to represent us the citizens are they not, the majority of the people. That's what they are suppose to do. Now you can see why I still say shut it all down and start over. How anyone can be pleased with our debt and this admin is beyond me.

Not a big deal, the military has always been a little reckless with their special pays. This just makes it so if you are in an area where it is required to pay you hazardous duty pay, you get paid for each day you are in there instead of the previous months pay (for one single day).

I've heard rumors while I was in the Navy that if you're on deployment and you pass a no tax zone, your whole months check is tax free. I'm not sure if thats true or not, just random Navy people talking about it.

This does appear to be the case. Any partial month was (is?) privy to a full month's hazard pay.

Because it's what the right wingers do. Take an issue that bi-partisain, or an issue that has been the same for multiple administrations, and then get all outraged over Obama being "responsible" for it. Every day it's the same thing, over and over and over.

Eventually it's proven false, but by then they're already on to the next faux outrage and pretend like the previous issue never really mattered. I hope they're just trolling because if not, it's must be a miserable way to spend one's life. I didn't like Bush, but I hardly spent every day of my life looking for some reason to get outraged over what he did, although I'm sure there were some on the left who did.

What a narrow minded and disingenuous claim - there were "some on the left" but it's "what right wingers do". Your team does the exact same thing. Recognize it, own it and come around to the realization that both teams suck a$$. That's why I'm in favor of pretty much any measure that restricts the size, reach and power of our masters in DC.

Yeah, the left is just as bad about it as the right-wingers. That's why MSNBC and liberal talk radio are just as popular as Fox News and right-wing talk radio.

The sad thing is you went from being a blind partisan to being a blind partisan. You didn't learn anything.
