    I'm far from a crossfit fan, but that could have happened to anyone snatching. Freaky accident.

    Now, the burying of the story - that's a different issue.

    As I acknowledged before, we may never know whether the accident can be blamed on Crossfit. That said, it is probably madness to perform heavy, high-risk movements in a fatigued state. Who else but Crossfit condones that sort of madness ?

    Right on, I don't condone it. It's ridiculous and dangerous.

    We're in agreement here: crossfit is stupid, but that accident could have happened to someone going for just 1 rep. Snatches go too far all the time. Shame those bumpers were lying there.... That's the lesson that should be taught: clear the platform. (then quit the crossfit gym ;) )

    Stupidity aside, sometimes accidents just happen. Didn't some kid from USC drop 275 on his neck when bench pressing?

    Stafon Johnson. Yeah, his spotter and coach (same person) bumped the bar after unracking it. Tragic.

    I'm betting he had a thumbless grip. About as smart as this:

    getting closer to trying 405 in another 3 weeks or so. this is 2nd set of 330x3, felt good.
