No need to wonder. 95% of them wouldn't have been accepted as regular students. I've never known a gator fan that has ever claimed that the admission standards for athletes were the same as regular students.

This policy about averaging grades rather than replacing with a higher grade isn't just for admissions, but also for all students once they are at UF

By NCAA standards, Doneal Mack was eligible. UF admissions wouldn't take him, however, because he repeated courses and those courses are AVERAGED together at UF to get a GPA. UF admissions wouldn't budge on Mack. At Memphis if you repeat a course, you take the high grade, toss the low grade so there was no problem taking him. Billy steered Mack to Cal because he didn't want to play against him at an SEC school.

Walker won't be a problem because he didn't have enough core credits. From what I am told the online courses he's taking are core courses he didn't take at Holmes County HS so there won't be any averaging.

Billy D said a little bit more about Chris Walker to club "he's not on campus now. We hope he'll be here a little later."
